Baltimore Mayor Drops 165K on Luxury SUV, Then Cries Racism When Asked About It

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott just spent between 163,000 and 165,000 dollars of taxpayer money on a brand new 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. That makes it the most expensive executive vehicle in all of Maryland, nearly double what the governor rides in.

A reporter pressed him on the outrageous purchase during a press briefing. Instead of explaining why a city drowning in crime needs its mayor rolling around in that kind of luxury, Scott lashed out with the usual tired playbook.

He accused the reporter and the news station of pushing a "racist slant" and a "severe right-wing effort." Scott tried to compare his needs to security for other officials, dodging the real question about wasting hard-earned taxpayer dollars while Baltimore struggles with sky-high crime and failing services.

Classic deflection from a failing leader. Can't defend blowing taxpayer cash on a fancy ride, so play the race card and attack the messenger. Meanwhile, residents deal with the results of years of soft-on-crime policies and misplaced priorities.

This is exactly why so many Americans are fed up with big-city Democrats. They lecture everyone else about sacrifice and equity, then treat public money like their personal piggy bank. Scott's luxury SUV isn't leadership. It's tone-deaf arrogance at its finest.
