Wow. I know he just had a 👦

Yeah, new infant, school, and a D1 wrestling schedule might've been too much.  Would be totally understandable

Maybe Brands expected him to stay on with the team and Endene said F' it.  Now doesn't want to talk about it.  Would look bad on Brands  if he said anything negative about a wrestler on his team bailing because he has a newborn

Don't you think if Endene was leaving for family reasons that would be understood/accepted by most and pretty easy for the head coach to explain and talk about?

Yes, even for the brands it would be easy to say he is leaving and congratulations on there child..... Something else has to have happened

Full of un-bias blasphemy.

Idk  What was the timeline when he announced going to Iowa with when his wife/girlfriend got pregnant?  My hunch is Brands thought they had it figured out.  The baby arrives.  Endene's plan changed.  Brands feels burned but can't say much more than he won't discuss it.  That's just my guess and it's not like this baby came out of nowhere

I know Endene just became a Dad, but what the hell happened? No longer being on the team just two months before NCAAs is strange stuff.

Maybe I am harsh but why would the birth of a child be a good excuse to terminate a contract that you signed up to fulfil? Miss a dual or two? Sure! Break your commitment to compete for Iowa? No way is that a good excuse.

I said it's totally understandable walking away with a newborn child when you have school and a D1 sports schedule.  Consumes a lot of time.  Never said it's a good excuse

Understandable to be overwhelmed, sure. But the guy is being paid (presumably well) to compete for Iowa. Most people have jobs and other commitments when they have a baby. I would venture that something else happened.

What do you guys think the plan for 197 is moving forward? Do they pull Ludington's redshirt or fatten Gabe Arnold back up after he just made 174 for the salute?

Ludington isn't ready.  He needs another year

A D1 sports schedule with school is far more grueling and time consuming than what the average person experiences.  You literally have no life during the season.  It's not like a 9-5.

I agree. Wonder if Bradley Hill is wishing he stayed now. Even though I think he's back up at heavyweight this season at OU.

One of the reasons NCAA has limits on practice hours etc.   Shirley you aren't suggesting coaches are bending the rules?  🙄

So does the NIL donor the one that disagrees, upset that he took time off for his kid? I just having a hard believing brands wouldn't do anything in the power to convince him to stay if that was the case. Mineo is about as credible as I am

You don't give yourself enough credit.  You even claim to know nothing (spelling included) we all believe you.  The minnow trys to convince people he might know something 50% of the time, kind've hard to depend on that.  🙂
