I don't know what to think, but I do know that DT went to go see him play football recently.  So even though he committed, DT is still recruiting him.  My understanding is that OSU also recruiting another heavy in case they lose Ross.  Can't remember who, though.

Dang the rumors are true. That really bites man. If the rumors have gotten out in public then he is surely leaning football. That is a huge loss. Just huge! Well Merrill is our last hope. Mocco to small?

Have not watched either RAF event but reading these forum posts, it can't be that bad guys. Production value looks really good. They are getting stars of the sport to participate. Did the WWE or UFC have overnight success? Y'all gotta quit bitchin so much. We are getting high level wrestling as a premium streaming event, this is only good in my eyes

Just looked at PWL 10 card, those matches are legit. How come so many pro wrestling leagues all popped up at same time lol

I'm concerned about the fact that the matches in RAF2 were not as compelling, with several falling apart after they were announced.

I'm also concerned about the announcing team.  I didn't like how they don't have a play by play guy in RAF1 and it only got worse.  Bubba was very bad in RAF1, but Chael saved things.  Now in RAF2, they replaced Chael with Angle and Julianna Pena.  Not good.

They had a shot but theyre focusing on characters and names over properly building out weights and appropriate champions. The main guy went on Bachamania and said its all about story and the dude doesnt even understand how to make a cohesive story in combat sports. The cards are disjointed mismatches that dont tie into one another in any way.

Wrestling is not Wrasslin (WWE/F/WCW) but the guy has some experience in storytelling. I would give him time, but I also agree that stories could be hard to tell with wrestling, based on the culture of the sport

Fake wrestling and real wrestling are nothing alike which is why hes trying to force stories. Id say cultivating a story in wrestling on a single card is easier than most any combat sport.

I mean, cultivating a story is easy, but a story that non-wrestling fans or casual wrestling fans care about enough to pay to see is harder

Matches seem much better so far on this card. I do not love Bassett vs Caldwell but if it sets up Bassett vs Woods I guess thats cool. I think Chandler vs Mendes is actually very fun and a smart move I much prefer that approach with the MMA (former wrestler guys). AOC vs Gomez is really cool but at this juncture I do not see being overly competitive in freestyle. Henschel vs Guida is rather random but also somewhat intriguing given the age differential. I think Henschel vs an MMA guy that does not have a traditional wrestling base but is a good mma wrestler could be fun someone like Figureido.

They're turning a chicken sh!t holiday weekend date into chicken salad with all the Chicagoland participants who are presumably already back visiting family so might as well make a paycheck and work off the mashed potatoes. I'm still holding out hope Micic changes his mind and makes an appearance.
