When the story originally came out, I saw on USA Wrestling's website, under "Ineligible Members", that his name was on the "Interim Membership Suspension" list. It's not there anymore. I assume that means USA Wrestling did an investigation and didn't find anything to keep him suspended. I would think any accusation of sexual misconduct would be taken very seriously by USA wrestling due to affiliation with kids clubs.

He isn't listed on the NLWC athletes list, but who knows if he even planned to be.

Any thoughts? Not a troll job...legitimately don't understand how there was supposedly video and now nothing...??

If the allegations aren’t true then that’s a good thing for the sport as we approach the season.

To be clear the only video that was referenced in the story was of Starocci entering and leaving the locker room at the time Bartlett claimed his stuff was stolen. And according to the article the police reviewed that video and found nothing to support Bartlett's claim.

Drowning in data, but thirsting for knowledge

I think the police said that only Carter And Kasak were the 2 in the video that left during the time in question and they were only able to interview and question Kasak.

Never underestimate the power of the CaelGB.

But seriously, haven’t seen an article from that particular journalist since.  But  also haven’t seen a redaction from the Daily Collegian, and to be fair, it’s possible he graduated.  In the least, it must have been very shoddy journalism, as no doubt that some reputable entities  looked into it and all passed.

I said video, but meant the alleged snapchat pictures that CS took of BB naked and sent to their team group. I don't know anything about how snapchat works...guess I was thinking it was a video.

To bring allegations like that, though, I would have thought BB or his wife had some sort of evidence (not text messages or cctv) that proved what they claimed on that front. To me, if the women that claimed sexual misconduct didn't come forward, there was no evidence of theft, the only thing that would be provable are those pictures.

Couldn't CS bring defamation claims against the Bartlett's?

The writer of the article quit the day it was released and jumped on a plane and immediately went on vacation

Have any PSU guys come to the defense of Carter on this?

Dudes not with NLWC which is big news considering he was PSUs 5 time champ. You don’t hear much talk about him at all from PSU. Seems like a good job of sweeping it under the rug.

He's been at NLWC practices recently. The NLWC IG account showed him wrestling Snyder.

I have no thoughts on the veracity of the story told by the user "Beau Bartlett" on the PSU forum. I hope that, if any of what was said is true, victims are able to come forward if they so choose and find justice. If Carter is guilty of bad shit, hang him out to dry.

On the other side, Carter was put on the SafeSport banned list for a bit. I assume that SafeSport did their best and could not corroborate the complaint(s) made against him. Carter's name has since been removed from the SafeSport banned list, which is why he is eligible to practice at NLWC.

SafeSport in itself, and as an idea, is a great thing. In an ideal world, it protects victims (and potential victims) while the legal system does its thing. In a less than ideal world, it is weaponized by people for all sorts of potential reasons and results in the loss of employment and reputation for the accused.

One thing I'm unaware of: can you even appeal a SafeSport suspension? Let's say someone files a complaint against a Final X competitor, oh, two days before the event. Is there a mechanism to attempt to clear the name of the accused?
