The governor is a person who is the boss of a state.  He is like the president of a state, and California is a big state. The Governor is entrusted with many significant duties. One of those duties is picking the color of school busses.  I like yellow school busses. Kids get to school on busses if the bus isn't yellow they may not know to get on the that bus. Im Kamala Harris and I approve this message.

... by what California coulda been.

And... what is it now? The State that supports the Red States the most? The State where most innovation is done?

If... in some wild scenario, California became it's own State, the US would need it more than it would need the US(assuming you don't just go in and take what you need by force).

Seriously speaking, you should do a real dive (data driven, not social media or news media driven) into how much California contributes to the federal government annually, vs how much many of the “red states” receive from the federal government annually.

Not making an argument, just a suggestion regarding information.

I have...including first hand knowledge of CA...I am not disagreeing with what the data says, their GDP in comparison to other states, federal funding, etc., but to extrapolate that out to be that the US would need CA more than CA would need the US if CA was its own state is completely ridiculous.

I don’t know about “completely ridiculous”, but I hear you.

Yeah...just my opinion.  And honestly...most of the state is beautiful and the people are great...however, a few cities sure give it a bad rap...as well as some of their policies...all in all a great place to visit...love the Palm Springs area.

What is it CA produces that the rest of the country can't do without or obtain elsewhere?   Late night TV doesn't count as most of us can do without.

Only California can whip up a charcuterie board with all the nation's almonds, pistachios, artichokes, avocados, dates, olives, and wine grapes, because other states clearly can't handle that level of snack supremacy.

Lots of Silicon Valley has been moving to Seattle / Austin as well as of late.

Well the ratings are falling dramatically for late night tv.  The comedy isn’t as funny as it used to be and they just fired one of the more popular ones who was losing $40 million dollars a year.   So I suppose that can be produced anywhere or nowhere and people wouldn’t really notice or care.

It's nice how you don't have an original thought and just repeat what Trump says.

I didn’t hear Trump say this.  Where did he?   Also.  What’s not true about it.  Are magazines and newspapers vhs tapes and DVDs making a come back too?     Maybe go buy some blockbuster stock.

if we need Trump to inform us things like network tv and terrestrial radio are dying as a means of communication.   We’re dumber than you think.  Also is am and fm radio making a come back ?

I normally listen to XM but FM making a bit of a comeback in my truck.  Our only movie theater in town (and within 100+ mi) is a drive in and we saw F1 Tues evening.  Have to tune 98.7 for movie audio.  It's a two or three time a year thing but ...    😉

Btw:  great movie!

So you've got nothing?

I don't know the exact numbers, but California grows a significant portion of things people in this country consume. The central valley is huge. Most people don't realize that if California decided to cut us off, we'd be screwed.

AI Overview
California produces a significant portion of the food supply for the United States. Specifically, it generates 12.5% of all agricultural production in the US. Furthermore, California supplies about one-third of the nation's vegetables and three-quarters of its fruits and nuts. The state is also a major producer of milk, accounting for nearly 20% of the nation's total.

They have a significant impact on what we eat.
