I think UB has overstayed his visa and may be on the lam.

Probably how he knows ICE wasn't showing ID.  🙄

Again, you are speaking of district court judges moving out of their lane and going national.   There is a reason they are district courts, because they serve the district, not the nation.   Therefore that would be an unlawful order to follow until further appeal clarifies the situation.

Trump complied with the Abrego decision and Abrego is back, but tied up with federal charges.   So you are wrong.

Trump sent people to El Salvador.   The district judge said you can't do that and bring them back.   It was too late for that.  But have any illegals since gone to El Salvador?   NO.

Those are just two of your 0 for 6.

Uh, them bringing back Abrego Garcia proved everyone right that said they needed to try to get him back (and that if they did actually try, it would be easy to succeed)…

I’m still a bit confused by your earlier comment though…are you doubting that masked ICE agents in street clothes are arresting folks?

The courts, including SCOTUS said the admin had to try to get Abrego back.   After a delay, he came back.  So they complied.  A dictator or king would not do that.

I have not seen any evidence of umarked cars or non uniform agents.   I said I didn't not doubt that, but felt that uniforms, without names, but identifying law enforcement affiliation was something that should be done.

In general  I am in agreement with the OP.

Yes, the Trump admin ultimately complied.  I agree he is not a dictator.  But those who said they didn’t have to try to get him back, like Stephen Miller, were wrong.

The Brad Lander video is just one of many examples of masked & non-uniformed ICE agents.

The agent I saw was not masked.  I'm sure he is getting doxed now.   He seemed to be the lead in that operation.

lol I’m not sure how you could determine any of those guys was the “lead” in that clusterF.

But one of the guys holding onto Lander as they brought him into the elevator was wearing street clothes and a mask

And the guy with the mask on has in the biggest font ever.   A freaking giant police uniform.    Saying in giant letters.    POLICE!

so what is the left whining about here ?

I saw at least 3 people with police vests / uniforms on.

I heard comparisons on this thread to the gestapo lol

I was talking about the guy in the backwards hat.   Just saying this is one of many examples of masked ICE agents in street clothes, but at least in that one they didn’t all fit that description.  There are other videos where none of the officers have anything that identifies them as law enforcement though.

Have you produced said videos ?   I’ve not seen one and it appears the one people have been complaining about is nonsense.  There were uniforms everywhere in this one.   I even saw a badge on one B.

Why are ICE agents allowed to do this. Unmarked vans. No badges. No uniform. Ski masks. Arresting people without displaying warrants. Is this an acceptable way to police in a free country?

Set that aside. Is this a smart way to police in a free country? How long before an ICE agent gets shot by someone thinking they're being kidnapped? Isn't that exactly what the 2nd amendment is for? If you legally carried a gun for protection, and an unmarked van pulled up next to you, four guys in plain clothes and ski masks jump out and try to grab you, would you not fight back? Next thing you know, you have bullets flying in the streets at any given time, putting civilians, officers, and arrestees at risk.

Set aside whether you support the deportations. Is this a good way to go about it? Does this not put innocent people in danger? Does it not erode trusts in law enforcement? Seems incredibly reckless to me.

No... but this is partially what I was just arguing and the typical MAGA supporters, the ones that claim 63% of the Country wants EVERY single "illegal" as Trump defined it deported(though I suppose that number would change as Elon would be illegal under Trump's decree).

But yeah, people should look up...I think it's Andrew Coffee IV. Just Google "Coffee-Rittenhouse" and you can shoot these guys...and you're damn right I would if they were trying to grab me.

Now...they'd have to be walking up next to my Truck in order for me to have my gun on me as i don't feel the need to play Cowboys and walk around with it on my hip, but in that circumstance or if they were coming into the house...of course I would.

That group comes into your house 9 times out of 10, they're not Federal LEOs, they're thugs(not that the two can't be the same here). This is insane.

But... the bootlickers who used to complain about Govt overreach will defend this.

So the legislative branch can give the President a "direct order."  How does that work if the house & senate can't agree on the same language in said order.  Is it only the Supreme Court that can give direct orders or other lower courts.  Does the order have to be written by the Chief Justice or does he/she need to go to the west wing and give a direct verbal order?

I'd recommend taking an elementary civics class if you want to learn the answers to these questions.

Getting a gun pointed at you for taking a picture of a license plate.  But hey, at least he was wearing his police vest

Why is this response not appropriate.  The officer had no idea what that potentially violent nut job was doing in the middle of moving traffic.  He could have been doing anything back there.  Should he round the corner of his car not ready to defend himself ?

and are you one of the ones who keeps asking why they want to wear masks.  What is this violent protestor intending to do with the license plate.  It wouldn’t be to try to identify personal info about the police and use that somehow ??

Maybe he witnessed this officer do something illegal and wanted to report him to the normal police.

edit: at least you removed “potentially” from your second paragraph to tell us how you really feel.

A lot of maybes there.

There are a few facts In the vid.  No reason for some protestor needed to go take a pic of the officers license plate in moving traffic.  Sneaking up on the car is suspicious af.  The officer has no idea his intentions.    Officer did nothing wrong here.

As should be.  Police have been shot by folk approaching their cruiser.  You should never approach a police car from behind and show your hands so they know you have nothing in them.

Did the vehicle have anything on it identifying it as a police cruiser?

It doesn’t have to.  Maybe don’t be a moron and do that to any car.

So it’s okay for anyone to point a gun at someone if they are crouching behind their car?
