“We do acknowledge that any member of Congress has the right to show up for an inspection at one of our facilities in their oversight capability,” Lyons said. He also said that while those visits are “unannounced,” members need to show identification and go through screening and can’t bring contraband.

There is a vid floating around where police are leading Aoc away … and it “looks” like she’s getting arrested as her hands are handcuffed behind her back and it looks like a perp walk.    Until she raises her left arm above her head.  She was faking it.   I’ll have to find. It’s recent.     Politicians are dirty.

She is doing that AGAIN? or is that an old video?  I remember her doing that years ago.

DoJ is going to lose on summary judgement in federal court.

Offered with the same confidence as your prediction that Kamela would win the election?  Sorry, but you’ve proven to be too unreliable.

To be honest, i didn't see her pushing or shoving people, but she was getting pushed and shoved.   So while I don't disagree with Little, I think this will tame the way Ds want to do their oversight.

As Jonathan Turley says:

The problem with the oversight claim is that McIver’s status as a member of Congress does not allow her access into closed federal facilities. Congress can subpoena the Executive Branch or secure court orders for access. However, members do not have immunity from criminal laws in unilaterally forcing their way into any federal office or agency.

If that were the case, Rep. Alexandria Ocacio-Cortez would not have posted images of herself crying at the fence of an immigrant facility, she could have climbed over the fence in the name of oversight.

Conversely, Republicans in the Biden Administration could have simply pushed their way into the Justice Department to seek the files on the influence-peddling scandal.

So Congress has a right to oversight, but not to force their way in to gain oversight.   There is a big difference there.  Like I said, this shows the DOJ is ready to prosecute this and Ds should heed this.   They probably won't and look like even bigger jerks than they look now to the American people.  That's on them.

No comments from the resident lefties.  @red viking or @Tripnsweep       Y’all staging fake arrests now ?   Wonder if modern politicians hate social media or streaming sites because it documents their utter bs constantly.

It's...so clear you don't know what you're talking about and you didn't actually watch the video.

She WAS arrested, that's covered seconds into that video...

You didn't...someone ELSE did and even then, you got literally every fact you cited here wrong other than she did have her hands behind her back as she was walking for a few steps.

1-3 years ago. So "it's recent" is...not accurate.

2-Again, seconds into the video they even reiterate she was arrested, so...you couldn't be bothered to watch this video(or just have a basic understanding of the topic you brought up.
