Lee is a total and complete first period wrestler.

If you get him to the 2nd or 3rd period and can ride, you have an outside chance.

He spends all his money in the first period

Except Lee got the pinfall late in the second period.

Literally just reversed and pinned a top 6 returning AA like 7 seconds ago in the second period.

After giving up back points.   The point still holds.  He's a first period wrestler.  The longer you go with him (which folks can very rarely do), the better your chances are, even if they are still slight overall to catch up after a big deficit

I feel like Woods shut it down instead of going for the bonus point. Hard to complain about a win, but I want to see first period Woods in the third period too.

“The longer you go” without getting tech falled or pinned the better chance you have… uh… no shit?

He gave up two backpoints trying for a reversal, which he got, followed by 4 backpoints, and then a fall.  Yes he doesn't have a Metcalf/Brands tank.  I do agree with the insight that wrestlers who don't get pinned or teched in the first period have a better chance of winning than those that do get pinned or teched.

Is this a new theory? Never heard of it before

Gomez is awesome.  Iowa's biggest team-wide deficiency is most of them seem wholly uncomfortable in scramble situations.  Spencer, Real, and Siebrecht are the only ones who seem not terrified there.  Cass is ok for a HWT.

Glenbard Nrth HS gets a shoit out, too.

The longer you go with him . . .  the better your chances are,

A universal truth in wrestling!!  If you are not pinned yet your chances are better than if you have been pinned.  Your chances go down dramatically once you have been pinned.
