Seriously?!?!  Come on...what a disingenuous statement and quite frankly ridiculous.  And I am not even a Hegseth fan as I thought he was a bad choice to begin with...mostly for some of his views and how he presented himself...but to compare him to a person who was here illegally, accused of human trafficking, being a gang member (one of the worst gangs out there), beating his wife, etc.??  SMH

I did not speak to the credibility of the allegations.  But people are crucifying Garcia based on the allegations of a dirty cop and a criminal informant.  Yet the worst he’s accused of his hitting his wife (still bad of course), whereas Hegseth is accused of rape.

Garcia was never actually “accused of” human trafficking, fwiw.

So, we get to pick and choose what we considered accusations and what we don't?

Also, how are people crucifying Garcia...because they support him being deported??  As Scout said...you come here illegally you get deported...hard stop.  Majority of Americans support that...hard stop.  People elected Trump to do exactly what he is doing...hard stop.

I've said this on other posts...at least be genuine and just say you hate everything Trump does versus trying to play mental gymnastics in your head to somehow paint his policies to be something other than they are, or somehow make it sound like the things he does are such a travesty.  I am not a fan of everything Trump does, or who he is as a person, heck I didn't even vote for him, this time, but I do like some of his policies...including his boarder and deportation policies.  You don't want to get deported, or want "due process", don't freaking come here illegally...period.  I just can't understand the selective outrage for this one person who has plenty of "smoke" around him that shows he is a bad dude...AND he came here illegally...again just say you are playing politics and are trying to create rhetoric because you hate Trump.

And by the way, no matter all the selective outrage and pearl clutching that is happening, Garcia isn't coming back...as he shouldn't.

Nope.  Everything is just an allegation until it’s proven in court.  That’s why Hegseth is not in jail and I’m fine with that.   But I’m consistent: Garcia shouldn’t be in jail either unless they are going to charge him with something other than entering the country illegally.  He shouldn’t be in our country but he also shouldn’t be in jail.  And I don’t want to hear “what El Salvador does with their citizens is up to them,” because we’re the ones that sent him to prison there.

The majority of Americans do not support Trump going against the Supreme Court, including people like myself that voted for him.

You’re cool with presidents killing citizens for not liking their activity…. If they’re on vacation in turduckinstan or wherever he was.  I don’t think you get to comment on due process any more.

I thought El Salvador is keeping him in jail for what he did in El Salvador prior to his leaving?

I do not believe so, do you have a link to this?

Why does there have to be a link.   What El Salvador does is really no business to the American public…. He is under no obligation to you or I to say what he’s doing.  (El Sal pres)

Yes it is our business, we sent him to prison there

Only that their President thinks he's a terrorist? So I think El Salvador thinks he is MS-13

On Monday, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele met with President Trump at the White House. Bukele told reporters he had no plans to help return Abrego Garcia.

“How could I return him to the United States? I smuggle him to the United States? Of course I’m not going to do it,” he said. “I don’t have the power to return him to the United States. I’m not releasing — I mean, we’re not very fond of releasing terrorists into our country.”

Weird that he transferred him out of the terrorist prison then huh?

We deported him.   El Salvador put him in prison.   We don’t control a separate sovereign nation.     At least we didn’t kill him.

Lol.  What are we paying them for, then?

Stalin style due process.  Held without bail, lengthy delays, biased judges and juries, misapplied law, and over sentencing.  Some were jailed nearly four years without trial.

"due process is when the court comes to the conclusion I agree with"

you guys don't believe in anything. all you want is power to pursue your libidinal desire for cruelty.

You don’t understand what the majority of the country is saying.  We were against the Biden immigration policy all along.  Due process for illegal immigrants is short and sweet.  You entered this country illegally, it’s time to leave, one way or another. Every one of you.

Your desires on this issue don't matter  That's not how the republic was structured to operate.  It sounds like you want to change the entire way the government operates, which is fine, but doesn't just happen because one guy won an election.  That's the whole point.  We don't have a king, you didn't elect a king.  At least, theoretically.

That's not how our country works. It's not how the Constitution works.

If you want to live in a country like that, you're welcome to move to one!

It is somewhat refreshing to see the mask come off for most conservatives. You never cared about freedom. You want authoritarianism.

What did the Supreme Court say that Trump's administration isn't complying with??

Does this look like “facilitation” to you?

Did the last king restrict boarder agents etc and just decide to not enforce immigration law?   Same ? For sanctuary cities.   Whom gets to decide which federal law should and shouldn’t be listened to.   Also which political party benefits from said group entering our country and getting local and or federal voting rights?

You're just babbling now.  As to when an executive doesn't execute the laws, the other two branches of government are supposed to hold the executive branch accountable.  That's how the system is supposed to work.  Like the judicial branch is trying to do here, while Trump just blatantly ignores them and some of you cheer them on like it's some kind of victory.
