OK St. has a very good 184 in Brayden Thompson, who's paid his dues and waited his turn behind Plott. I'm sure Taylor and Ryder would love to get Ryder to OK St. to give a big F-U to Cael. But wouldn't that make Taylor just as bad as Cael?

Recruiting over your own guys who've been paying their dues in the room is a bad look, but something Cael has shown he's not afraid to do. This could be Taylor's chance to show everyone that he's not like Cael. He's loyal to the guys on his team - could help with future recruiting pitches.

Ryder could go 174 and have Dee RS

@ionel, was Thompson the one whose Mom made a Facebook post about selling all her OSU gear last offseason?

Pretty sure ... might be a new line on FB soon.

In that case, he has to transfer to Ohio St. then, right? It's the only way to close the loop.

Is it true Coleman's wife is swapping her Buckeye gear with BT's mom?

Should they?

Ryders U-Haul is probably en route to Stillwater as we speak.

That means they're driving thru Ohio. Tom Ryan's hiding in the bushes with one of those police spike strips laid across the highway.

I don't really consider it getting recruited over unless you've proven that you can compete at a high level, and Thompson hasn't done that in college. I think he has real potential, but he hasn't done enough to consider his spot reserved.

And he was a Smith guy ... but DT has given him plenty of help and opportunity.

DT took him to Worlds with him last year and had great things to say about him for his 184lb prospects.

I think we might see a similar jump as we saw with Mendez when he went from 133 to 141.

Yeah, I don't distinguish b/w which coach brought them in. They committed to the university as far as I'm concerned. Thompson wrestled at 184 at two opens last December and faced two D1 opponents. One was a 6-2 decision over a backup from Air Force. I think he has potential, but there's not yet a reason to get one's hopes up

Everyone should go after him. He’s an absolute hammer. PSU messed this one up.

maybe he wanted to get paid...

That's yet to be seen. He went 12-11 at 174 as a freshman including 0-2 at NCAAs. That does not scream "starting spot locked" at a top 3 program in my opinion.
