If  Ono becomes a NCAA champion next year; does he get an automatic invite to next years US Open?

I think you're prob joking?  It used to be open to foreign wrestlers, and I remember some Canadians placing.  I believe it is US only now, but could certainly be wrong.

In his interview, his reason to be NCAA wrestler he said in broken English "competitions".  I took it that he wants to win all the major wrestling tournaments to surpass all his idols. NCAA Championship,  Olympic Gold, so who knows what else. I don't think he'd be trying out for the team, but just to put another belt on and win another title.

My guess is that foreign nationals are no longer allowed to participate in the US Open, regardless of NCAA participation.  Could someone with more current knowledge please enlighten us?

US Open is our WTT qualifier and I don't think Ono will be changing his athletic nationality. He can compete in the Bill Farrell.

That is what I figured.  I remember some good Canadians being allowed to compete in the past.  Chris Wilson maybe?  But I was pretty sure they disallowed it.

Or just blow the doors off of people for the opening three minutes and make them pin him to win.

There’s no one at 133 he couldn’t score 5 TDs on in 180 seconds if he really, really went for it.

Brother we just watched Gable Steveson not be able to do that.  It's not as easy as all that.

Only one year of eligibility for Ono.

Everybody is selfish. We all want to enjoy watching him for more than a year.
