You guys are hysterical.  Last year constant comments about Levi defying the laws of weight cutting by making 157 because he was so big.  Now this year it's "he's on steroids".

You haters need to make up your mind

oh i wasn't aware it was a massive cut last year

Now you're posting pictures of high school boys.

You should chill, bro.

Wait until you find out that there is an entire section of this forum entirely dedicated to discussing high school boys wrestling, and outlets like flowrestling cover high school boys wrestling.

I think it is sh*tty when people would gossip like little b*tches about stuff like this when it can only potentially harm someone's reptuation, and the people speculating have zero clue.

so I'm not a dermatologist, but I know enough to understand that there is considerable variability in timing for onset of acne.  anyone trying to use physical clues like this is some sort of where's waldo, is quite frankly an idiot.

I guess the stereotype of bacne and acne for peds is totally false then.   You win doctor.

Exactly, you shouldn't get involved because you don't know.  At this point it's just baseless claims.  We've had a lot of fun this forum Hammer but just going around and throwing accusations around is childish.  I know at least you're better than that

I appreciate you saying that, but if we don't talk about it there is no chance it ever reaches the level where it has to be meaningfully addressed, and its impossible to discuss it without baseless implications at the minimum. I don't like participating and will stop, but this is a discussion that should go on.

Guys jumping two weight classes is not exactly unheard of.  In many cases, they were already making an incredibly hard cut down to the original weight, and have someone in the next weight up that they cannot beat.  So they continue to go up.  It seems reasonable someone who looks natural 165 but was wrestling 157 could appear a full sized 174 the next year.

yeah maybe....see last post where i replied to portajohn.

For all you PSU people crying foul about how low it was of Shapiro and he's a hater, your boy Bo Nickal went on the biggest podcast in the world (JRE) and said the reason he lost to the Iranian is cuz the guy was juiced to the gills. Said it was obvious. What evidence did he have other than he felt his strength and looked at him?

Same thing here. And it's obvious our wrestlers are using too, if we can go head to head with nations that are obviously doping like Russia. To believe our guys can compete with roid raging Russians just cuz we like our steaks is naive and asinine. Lemme get some of Mr Kasak's home grown beef, doubt it drastically changes my hormone profiles like it did for Kasak and Barr.

you think fans should be speculating about who is doing steroids based on acne?  Leave it to the policing bodies of the NCAA and hold them accountable.

I attempted to allude to this, but I’ll do it more directly here:

Does Kasak have bad acne on his back?

I count maaaaybe one PSU person defending Kasak and all the others are fans of other teams including at least two who actually hate PSU, but would not allow team-based following to determine their logic in something like this

those are bureaucrats who don't respond to anything but a sufficient volume of ugly noise.

ok so you are saying nelson brands is on steroids.

If people are implicating Haines and Kasak, then absolutely. What else do I need to fit in with this mob behavior? Here’s my discussion board investigative motives to match the dermatologists: aging in the college scene, broken down and injured, enhanced vascularity, and someone who’s broken other rules very recently. That’s a better of list of causes than Tyler Kasak’s face and Levi Haines moving up two weights. Maybe Warner and Marinelli can retweet that.

I always root against them because I'm an underdog guy.  I would root for them if they became worse.  I find a large draw for the excitement in sports in general is to see an upset.  But in this case, I see no reason for someone like Kasak to be ridiculed.  I have nothing to gain by defending his honor but preserving my own character

That's kinda the point of the entire thread. The NCAA does not police this in any meaningful way. My kid's wrestled thru HS and college and been tested zero times.

The lack of policing is what causes this type of speculation. The "eyeball test" is not perfect, but it's not nothing and it's all we have right now.

And this is not a PSU thing; this is an NCAA-wide issue.

Leave it to the opposing teams to bring these issue to the table.  There is no value in me or you speculating about who we think should be inspected based on visual evidence.  And maybe if the NCAA doesn't care, then that means it isn't technically illegal.  Push for reform or something.  But don't throw people's names into the pile for consideration because they are successful and have bad acne.  It's cruel.

Um.  An opposing team brought it up.  It’s how this thread got started.
