the difference in lower body size between Kueter and Trephan is comical

Craig Henning got screwed in the 2007 NCAA Finals.

Wow Kennedy with a slick TD

That match was a throwback: Iowa Style closing the gap, pounding underhooks, constant circling to the corner, snaps to short offense vs Cowboy wrestling from space, attacking below the knee. The main difference was that Hamiti got out from bottom and didn't gas. Great match.

BTW Kennedy's takedown was classic Brands. He almost had it again.

Well... would've been nice to have 3 B&W semifinalist.

But we'll settle for two.

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

While I don't agree with his approach/strategy, he has a serious shoulder injury so it seemed like he was trying to escape with minimal additional damage done to his shoulder.

100%.  I think he saw the way Steveson threw both Keuter in the dual meet and Feldman at Big Tens and treated this as a safety issue.

Fall, StallDQ and a tech… just give him the hodge already.

All he needs is a major and he'll have wrestled for the cycle

What a terrible decision

Looked/sounded like Gavin's instructions.  If so, that's really frustrating.  Borderline indefensible decision.  How complicated is this?  He needs a takedown to win.  Period.  He's not going to win the rideouts in overtime.  So he needs a TD in the third period or SV.  And everyone knew he was very likely to give up at least a riding point, and probably get ridden out if he took down.  So you take neutral and have a full two minutes to get a TD and win the match.  Hard to watch the wrestler pay the price for such a bad call, particularly given that it subjected us to another splits/horrifying interview.

Three undefeated wrestlers in the heavyweight semis, plus the defending champ, who has only one loss.

And it's a total mismatch, so how amazing is Steveson?  The only suspense I see here is maybe Gable has choice in the second period, Gavin or Molinaro shout at him from the stands to take take down, and being such an agreeable guy he does; and then Hendrickson takes top in the third, so he has two shots at turning him and ends up catching him with one of them.

The problem with your hypothetical is that Pindickson isn't getting past Kerk. And I'm as big a fan of Farva as it gets round these parts

Steveson is the most gifted and dominate college wrestler I've ever seen and that includes Cael. Its too easy for him at this level. I think he'd destroy stephen neal if they wrestled in their primes.

I'd love to have seen those 2 under the lights on Saturday.  I'm butthurt because this was such a talented field of heavyweights coming into the season and now its so anticlimactic.

Iran has two heavyweights that are dominating the world that might have something to say about that

Tonight be sure to watch Braden Scoles in the blood round. 4x Wiscy champ and ending his frosh year with a bang (but hopefully not ending until tomorrow). His matches are fun
