What are your favorite interviews the wrestlers have had over the years at NCAAs? Prefer to hear stories where the wrestler said something really weird, funny,  and unfathomable.

Sammy Brooks is a classic of the genre. I also love two post match interviews from 2021. Nick Lee's "chop wood, carry water" and AJ Ferrari's "665".

"The book of Revelation mentions the church in Philadelphia, which was written specifically about me competing in the 2025 NCAA championships in a city with the same name but 5000 miles away from the original one."

Just once I'd like to see one of those guys offer salutations to Palaestra or Nike. Or better yet completely creep out a woman you've been stalking and dedicate it all to her, hehe.

Yianni telling Quint after the semis that he needs to grow some nuts

Cory Clark spilling the beans and saying that Terry asked him to pick him up and slam him

Zain quoting Braveheart "you can take away my life, but you'll never take away my freedom"... after being asked what it was like being taken down in the finals

(No shade, all great kids, and I've definitely said stupider things after a match with far less at stake)

Shane Griffith  - really deft handling of the  pending thresat to cut Stanford wreslting.   He may not get enough credit for turning the tide.   Impressive poise for a wrestler coming off the mat in the NCAA finals.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Gadsen and his ice cream.

or Dake and his steroid comment after his freshman title.

I always enjoyed Gabe Dean saying he turned down a football scholarship from GA Tech so he could wrestle at Cornell … only for him to backtrack and say that didn’t happen the next match.

The Wasteland Invitational became an instant classic

I remember this one when it happened. Tears to my eyes. Captured so many things so profoundly.

Gadsen ice cream was awesome. He said what every wrestler was thinking all season long.

Nickal had some interesting ones, some cringe worthy.

Remember him saying something to the effect…this is what we do at Penn State, we win national titles.

The Yak (Barstool) had a fun interview with Brock Hardy after NCAAs last year where they talked about him getting spladled. Interview starts around the 1 hour 42 minute mark.

From the weird files, Kerkvilet being a complete alien and telling Quint that winning is meaningless was pretty funny.
