Idk what the popular opinion is but he should not he allowed to compete

In My opinion, poster boy for parallel leg ride stalling, but I might try the same until stopped.

Unfortunately for this message board, everything drops on twitter first. So for the anti-tech people who refuse to join twitter, we'll let you know.

FWIW, I don't see any situation where he's allowed to compete. This would create an incentive for programs in future years to accidentally not track their athletes and ask for forgiveness at the 11th hour. Total BS.

Whether or not he's allowed to compete is one thing.  I think the main takeaway is how to preserve the integrity of the broader system.  I don't have any easy solutions.  One off the top of my head is that teams who fail to self-govern and are caught by another team or media source are prevented from participating in NCAAs for one season (something severe like that)

Also, the kid he beat in the conference finals is getting screwed because he would've had an auto-bid as conference champ, but now it's going to the alternate.

If Little Rock was indeed warned that he shouldn't be eligible months ago, then heads do need to roll in both the compliance department and the wrestling program.

on the other hand, they've been the best brand new program in NCAA wrestling in the last generation so maybe rolling heads would be over the top

I hate that this is happening to a program that seems invested in wrestling but they committed a serious violation if the NCAA has any backbone left.

Why not? He qualified by winning Pac 10?

I see it as a school that took advantage of a conference not caring.   Realistically, the conference should have caught this but the PAC doesn't really give a damn about anything right now.    IF there was a real conference in place, they would be DQing Brennan and possibly the entire Little Rock team.

I would rather LR stay invested but at the same time if they can't play by the rules...

I take the other approach: Proceed until apprehended.

Wrestling is fighting for its life as a sport.  Heavily penalizing LR for this would be a very short-sighted idea.  However, I think incorporate stricter enforcements in the future would be very wise.

Took an extra year to do it.

There are several guys who have been in college for seven years. What makes them special?

I mean I probably wouldn't say it to his face 🙂

Isn't he a 133 pounder? Wouldn't that be like insulting a marmoset?

Put it this way - if you gave me a month, I could get down to 133.

Is that with or without boots?
