Did you watch the Big 12 final? He could easily have lost but a mysterious injury timeout saved him. I was surprised the ASU coach didn't explode. If that situation had involved the Nebraska coaching committee it would have been pandemonium.

I believe Steveson doesn't have enough matches for a RPI....and Pindrickson won Big 12s and is undefeated.

He took injury time. Shultz could have chose bottom.

What was Hendrickson's injury? Looked like something hand or arm related, but nothing apparent in the instant replay, and he was also holding his sternum. Happened late, but it did seem to affect him for the remainder of the match.

Loved Schultz's grit and toughness in the last few minutes. Goes neutral like he's about to do something then does literally nothing lmao. What the hell kinda effort was that? Laughable

Schultz didn't want bottom, he wouldve been stuck there for the duration.

I agree. My point was that Hendrickson took a legit injury time and it was then CS's choice.

He chose neutral really his only option for a chance to win.

Schultz was a millisecond from a takedown to tie it up. Something did happen but Hendrickson didn't appear to call time until Schultz was going behind. Whatever. Schultz didn't seem to argue the call so why should we? (I was pulling for Ok State)

any other match (school)... thats a takedown

Watch it again from the opposite angle in the replay. They're facing each other completely neutral, Hendrickson steps in and changes levels while swinging his arm around, his forearm hits Schultz's headgear and his arm goes limp and he drops down in pain. The commentary guys also noted you could hear him yelp in pain immediately. Schultz was nowhere near in position to score before that happened

What were you watching?

Hendrickson and Schultz both clearly stop while Schultz has a front headlock.  Then after the whistle blows Schultz jumps behind.  That's why Schultz and his coach didn't argue.  Nobody did.  It was all very obvious.  Not sure why you are trying to rewrite it.

You win. I could not hear a whistle on the broadcast and Zeke Jones was just signalling "touchdown".

Schultz didn't make a big deal so like I said, I'm not arguing or rewriting anything.

It was just an unusual injury sequence  that would have resulted in a meltdown by Nebraska coaching committee or Tom Ryan.

Is this a good standard from which to judge other programs?

And shirely you realize those programs aren't in the Big 12.

Ha! I'm aware of what teams are in each conference.

I'm not sure of your question. Does the Big 10 have different standards for coaching behavior or are Tom Ryan and the Nebraska staff just accepted extremists?

Farva, I mean Pindrickson, is about to go down as the greatest perennial 3rd placer of all time. He would have been smoked (again) by Gable but it would have been nice to see him get a moment in the lights Saturday night once in his career. One of my favorite offensive technicians and hammers on top at any weight. Hopefully another Gorarrian eases the sting a little bit.
