Did anyone see the Van Dee-Bouzakis match?  I was watching multiple matches and can't be certain of what I saw.  I think that Bouzakis had a front head and ragdolled Van Dee to the mat and put in a half nelson to turn him over for a pin.  Except Van Dee was unconscious so the ref stopped the match.  (Reminded me of the season Logan Massa choked out two guys with his front headlock to a pin series).  Refs reviewed to see if any illegal, didn't see any so awarded an injury default per the rule book I'd guess.

During the review Van Dee was up and looked like he wanted to continue, but since he defaulted his next match maybe he had a neck wrench.

That was a wild sequence! I think they were reveiewing an illegal move. Idk whose decision it was to not let him continue.  Concussion protical they usually take them off the mat?

Absolutely was a slam and should have been DQd, But it wasnt, Then everyone wonders why the Neb coaches are they way they are.

The # of times Nebraska got screwed on calls this weekend is insane

With VanDee already qualified, it was smart to have him sit the rest of the day.   Even if he was legally allowed to continue, glad he didn't finish the tournament.

Pinto call made up for the bad ones!

Ummm Pinto got screwed when they blew the whistle dead when he had 3 out of bounds. Then got it right with the take down with 1 second left

Everyone wonders why the Nebraska coaches are the way they are because they cry all the time.  That is why.

This was not a slam.  The gif above is sped up.

The speed of the slam has nothing to do with it. Lmao. It's illegal because he's a wrist and a half and took him straight back.

He didn't have a half until after he slammed him.

False.  He throws the half in while slamming him before Van Dee lands.   He also leaves his feat.

False again.  My comment had nothing to do with the photo that I didn't see before I posted.

Go watch the video on normal speed.  He picks him up (no half) and then slides it in on the way down.  He has the half in before Van Dee lands on his head.

It was reviewed and determined to be legal, so while I disagree I can understand a different opinion.  But I can't understand why you need to deny facts like the half being in before they landed.
