Still doesn’t look like a TD to me, especially in the world of reaction time

announcers made the good point that the clock you see on the screen is not the same one that is used by the officials or in the back room review.  Might be another second of official time that controlled. Very tight call either way.

He is quite a surprise. Only varsity 2 years in high school in Colorado. 126 and 138. It didn't say how he did in high school though. I assume he was 2 time state champ. He sure is wrestling at high level. He lost earlier in the year by a major decision. to one of the wrestlers.

But you can also clearly see the guy behind the ref waving when time was out

I think there is an official time accessible on review that controls on momentary scoring questions over tv clock and guy with a towel/waive from the scorer table

Yes obviously towel guy is not official but it’s a good indication

14 seed Nolan Wertanen of Michigan who is 5W-16L on the season can place no lower than 10th at B1Gs as of now.

He will qualify for NCAAs.

I’ve never had to mff on day +1 of a tourney.   Do you have to make weight?

Not for a MFF.  If you hope to earn a bid to nationals, you better make weight and INJ DEF (instead of MFF).

Full Pinto Braunagel match.

Nebraska coaches first get heated because of the sequence starting at 7:55 and that may have been a legitimate complaint, so maybe the one at the end was a makeup call.

There’s probably also a decent argument Braunagel should have had 2 NF around 4:40 though

Thought he also should have had NF at the end of the 1st.
