Big 12 only seeds 8 of 13, so probably just means whoever is entered is unseeded.

Was expecting a thread titled "Big 12 seeds" would have a list/table of the Big 12 seeds or at least a link.

I figured Carter would at least be seeded ahead of Gioffre considering he just beat him 11-4 a month ago.

Yes looks like they went by B12 dual record but the #7 & 8 were 2-3 and 2-6 while Young was 3-5 with a win over the 7.  He also beat the 1 at CK but lost in the dual.  He was prob only 3 or 4 points from being a 3 seed, several close or SV matches that could've gone his way.

And what about Vasquez?  How is he not seeded top 8 either?

Good question.  WS has him at 5-2.  Did a couple players piss off the committee?

Course do we know these are final or pre-seeds?

I'm sure he would have been, but he hasn't wrestled in 3-4 weeks. I'm assuming hurt again like most past years. He'd probably have been a 4-5. I'm curious as to whether ASU will burn Manville's redshirt and wrestle him at this weight in hopes of qualifying someone.

Hamiti 9-0 & O’Toole 3-0 in B12 duals but your point is totally valid IMO.

Maybe WS data not so reliable?  I should've checked with Wkn.  SmartSelect_20250303-143925_Chrome.jpg.caafcab77b1041268f86ae34abf6487e.jpg

OToole also has dual wins vs N.Iowa & Iowa State

Not sure why it shows 1-0 ?

It makes me wonder what records they used for seeding especially at 149 cause WS numbers may not be accurate.

Is it W-L record against starters only?

Could be.  Looks like the Northern Iowa kid (#75) was the only top 100 conference win of the 3.

Did they enter Carter Young or Teague Travis?

Edit: confirmed

Maybe its the B12 dual record vs Big 12 "Tourney entrants" only ?

If so, any "ducks" or "backups" used for load managed/sick/injured wrestlers wouldn't count as a Win ?

If true ... wow!

Wkn will have to do new math.

Teague is a natural 149 isn't he? Was it that he couldn't beat Jordan Williams last year that led him to 157? His ceiling at a better fitting weight will be an interesting wrench in the weight class.

So did Carter get hurt late in the season or did Teague just get cleared to wrestle?
