Will it have any impact on his recruitment? I assume not, but it sounds like dad could be a headache for Grey to deal with.

Iowa... that is the place.

Get AJ from Bakersfield & this kid & scare all the competition.

Sounds like he decided to jump in and join the fight. That's what cost him, nothing his dad did. He just decided to do that himself. If he had just left and not gotten involved, I doubt they do anything to him.

Come on, what son wouldn't jump in and help his father fight, even if his father started the fight?

Maybe you can criticize Iowa and who they recruit after they harbor a known pedophile for a few decades.   Just maybe.

I hear that WD has some of the worst fans in general. And SJV had won 10 of the previous 11 weights and so they were getting on SJV's case.

Heard some of the rumors.  What you said plus Knox Sr being described as a "passionate man".  Powder keg went off

I don’t mind the private schools being in the state tournament, but they should probably have separate districts/regions.

The private schools have a colossal advantage, I'd imagine. Blair actually recruits state champs from other states, and I know they aren't the only HS that recruits.

Blair is not in the state tournament

Do they not participate in a state tournament among the private schools? Would suck to wrestle for an elite team and not be able to compete in a state tournament.

Have mixed feelings on this.  In PA with the recent rise of McCourt and Faith Christian I at first agree but then think how many of those kids are actually wrestling outside of the District they are already from.  I'm sure there are more than just Jax Forrest but he is the only one I can think of that is a transplant.  Kasak at Bethlehem Catholic came from District 1 and (Bechai is District 11) but he would still be at the same regionals regardless

Definitely has it's marquee matches but generally there is a huge drop in talent when you get outside the top 3-4 guys at each weight.

All 5 of them (which includes 2 from NY)!

As long as the kids actually establish residence in the state I don’t see an issue with them competing at the state tournament.  The Herrings were also move-ins but they’ve been living there for years at this point.  But in NJ I believe most of the guys at Delbarton, Bergen Catholic etc are actually from NJ anyway.  I think the reason Blair isn’t part of the state tournament is because it’s a boarding school, so a lot of the kids don’t really live there.

There’s also only one class for the state tournament in NJ.  Putting the private schools in the small school division in PA is silly IMO.

I really doubt any kids were deliberately trying to get Knox DQ’d, but considering how much SJV kinda dominated (looks like they were also the only North Jersey team in a district full of South Jersey teams) I’m not surprised if they were happy about it.

As I live in Holmdel where SJV is located, we are not North Jersey.

He already won three titles, I don't think it's that big of a deal to him. Hopefully it doesn't mess with him attending Cornell.

I had two kids that wrestled for me get into trouble after a drinking incident before prom.  One of them had their acceptance to college revoked as a result.  This kid was not a Knox level talent by any means, but I'm just offering that this type of thing can happen.  Hopefully, the kid (and family) learn from the incident and are able to still move on with their life plans.

Rules are rules and it's unfortunate, but actions have consequences. If you watch the video, he's clearly throwing punches at another person right in front of his mom AND A COP. He probably would've gotten away with it if the cop weren't right there as he was punching the dude, but stuff happens. Better he learns now than we see him in a news article being suspended from Cornell's program for fighting.
