1032004 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Stuff like this is why I feel Elon is being disingenuous. As I’ve said earlier, I’m generally in favor of the types of cuts they’re doing as long as they’re done legally and are properly researched (which doesn’t always seem to be the case so far). But we can’t pretend that this is going to be good for the economy in the short-term or that “it won’t effect you if you’re not a member of the parasite class.” So every government employee or person whose job depended on a contract that got cancelled is “a member of the parasite class”? I’m sure there have been many folks that voted for Trump that lost their jobs as a result of these cuts. Yes, there is bloat in the government and we should cut it. But a lot of jobs depend on it, and if we cut those jobs, the economy is going to be impacted especially in the short-term.
headshuck Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Democrats have always talked about cutting waste, fraud and abuse. It must be painful to see an administration actually doing something about it. 2

mspart Posted February 13 Posted February 13 This is what a lot of people have been waiting for. Trump is showing the way. I was for DeSantis but I don't think he would have done this kind of housecleaning. But whoever follows Trump, probably Vance, will need to continue this as this is a new day for Republicans. I too want things done legally but I don't see where that has been a problem so far. Judge allowed the early retirement plan that Trump put out there. I think most of these other things will be found to be legal and proper. mspart

America voted against the transgender agenda. This is right inline with those that voted in Trump. mspart

Scouts Honor Posted February 13 Posted February 13 If the govt was running efficiently and we understood where it was being spent the debate would be about that. That the debate is about uncovering where the money is spent, tells MOST of us that this debate is really about corrupt spending, not policy I
