The DT effect is real.  Realistically will close the gap with PSU by the end of this decade.  Stacked with young talent and has a good supporting cast of coaches.

'25 - Lockett, Robideau, Vega plus others

'25 - Ross, Forrest, Wolbert

For sure, great holdovers.  I think it's important for Taylor to get one maybe two of these young guys to breakthrough as underclassmen to really set off an arms race with Sanderson.

Merill looks the part 12-2, 2-0 loss to Buchannen 4-2 loss to Rademacher and a win over Salazar I think he will make a podium push for them next year for sure.

Eventually having Forrest-Vega-Wolbert-Robideau-Rutledge-Lockett all in a row would be unreal. Not to mention Hughes and Mccomas. Merrill and Ross up top.

Melvin Miller seems like a perfect fit there in 2027 if he turns into a 184 as well.

Brayden Thompson will have 3 years still

Ignacio Villesenor has been to like 3 schools but he's currently at stillwater clast of 27' and projects to be a 125 if Ramirez does not hold it down.

Merrill could definitely be that guy.

'97 clears out.  He'll start the year in the top 5.  He'll be in the mix.  Looking long term I'm projecting '28 to be their breakout year

Was BoKeeMel a package deal? I think someone here mentioned it, but idk if it was a rumor or what

In Bo's pre-announcement, he talked about wanting a place that would fit well for his brothers, so it sounds like they're a package deal. In today's Baschamania pod, Willie said he talked to Melvin and basically he said it's not necessarily a guarantee that he'll follow Bo (the insinuation was that it is still very likely though).

My guess (worth as much as it costs) is that Melvin will shop around and then Iowa will match or exceed and then he'll go there.

I’m looking forward to seeing what Jax can do as a Cowboy and beyond. I think this is great for wrestling in terms of the new generation of young wrestlers.

sure - would be unsettling if all top recruits went to PSU.  Hard to imagine there will not be some portal exits from the ass-kickers not getting varsity spots in the next few years.

To be fair, at this point in time, look at the 2024-2026 draft classes of OKST and PSU. They are loaded with super talented prospects. Iowa is currently more likely to be looking for a 165/174 in Miller and potential 125/133/141 in Keegan depending on how much he grows.

I started the post a little while back about the most notable brothers to commit to different schools, and the list of brothers that were similarly touted recruits (especially while being in college at the same time) is very, very small. I think it would be a pretty big shock if Melvin and Keegan ended up anywhere else.
