Extreme radical environmentalism.

Isn’t the fact that they’re not cleaning the fuel off the Forrest floor something to do with the environment?   (This one I’m not 100% positive on)

Will the good environmentalists of California allow folks to rebuild on the beachfront side of highway 1?  🙄 Let's wait and see.

To trip or lobster bisque or what not.  Haven’t they been saying “clean the fuel off the floor of the Forrest”.

who is responsible for not doing that?   I bet it’s a politician and not a civilian.

Do you just mash your keyboard and hope the results are something readable?

You could answer … who is responsible for not cleaning the fuel out of the Forrest….. I feel like you were passionate about that earlier

You sound like a child. It's not even worth conversing.

"But in order for these prescribed fires to occur, they must go through the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review process, which can last anywhere from 3.6 years to 7.2 years between the time of initiation to when the burning can actually begin, according to a 2022 policy brief from the Property and Environment Research Center (PERC)."

"Lawmakers have introduced legislation that would allow for more controlled burning, but because no laws have been passed, environmental red tape has continued to present challenges to proactive fire management.

Oregon Democratic Senator Ron Wyden introduced the National Prescribed Fire Act of 2024 in May. The bill, which proposes a $300 million investment in hazardous fuels management and aims to ramp up prescribed burns on federal lands, will need to be reintroduced and begin its journey anew with the start of the new Congress."

Widespread permitting reform has to happen at every level in California in particular, but really nationwide.

Reservoirs and fire hydrants are not a matter of fighting forest fires.  The forests don’t have fire hydrants.  Cities and neighborhoods do.  California, and possibly other states, should turn forest management over to the lumber industry.

I mean one of the lefties in here.   Not sure which two specifically said it wasn’t about the reservoirs being empty.    Not sure which two of the lefties.   Maybe they can answer this mystery.

I thought the scariest part was she assumes it was the man's fault so no reason to help him.

Because it was the bee.  I thought this was a joke.  I thought the joke was funny.  Fast forward a few days.  This is real.    Crazy beyond belief.

don't mind the comment on the tweet (which is kinda misleading). just posting here to share the fire chief's take

I really can’t imagine what it’s like to deal with politicians for a living.  State local or federal.   What a miserable job.

No true wingers blame it on climate change.

Who would you blame?    The guy without his house now?   Who are we going to blame when we entrust the gooberment to fight fires and they don't.   Who do we blame for insufficient water supply?  Come on, I'm waiting.    I can't wait for your response.

If you want them to ne able to effectively fight every fire imaginsble, you have to provide significant funding, which wingers only want for corporations and military contractors.

follow the thread, Viking.

they did provide funding. 17m was cut from the LAFD. $7b was allocated for more water resources a few years ago but the project barely got started.

pay attention.
