out of curiosity what types of things were they looking to change? if you can't share it, I understand

I don't know specifically, but the gist of it was that Zeke had lost some of his luster with recruits and the people who hold/held the actual authority wanted to let him retire peacefully and pass it on. Apparently they wanted to pursue somebody younger like Taylor, and Zeke basically told them he would leave when he was good and ready. Somebody somewhere had foresight that Taylor would become available in a few years. But this was 3rd hand information. I think the changes that were coming to the ASU athletic department were a part of it, since everyone knew after the Herm Edwards debacle it was only a matter of time until the AD "resigned".

I think it’s safe to say they probably couldn’t have afforded Taylor unless Martori’s funding was still there right (and maybe not even then)?

I think if they had followed the plan and done what Art wanted Sunkist would still be around. Also Sunkist is possibly trying to reduce their liability too.

Liability in regards to what?

I never heard any news on this. What happened with Perry?

Unsavory behavior with female athletes.

Not illegal but highly unethical.

Losing Pendleton was huge. I thought at the time Zeke should have stepped aside into another role and Pendleton taken over. That hurt.

I know they presented it like they were happy he went to ORST, but truthfully you are right. That never should have happened. One of the many things they should have done differently. Pendleton wouldn't have ignored people complaining about Perry either.

Look at either Flos or Willies projections. Another 21ish points would put Iowa within about 10 pts.

It's good to see Iowa homers using Spencer's name finally acknowledging what everyone knew...  you must pay big money to recruit wrestlers from other teams in order to have a chance at a title. Good job.

You don’t really believe that, do you? The current rankings are close to worst case for Penn State with Lilledahl and Davis working up, Barr will be higher in the next rendition too. You could add Figueroa and remove any PSU wrestler of your choice and Iowa still wouldn’t win.

Let’s make a wager to reset the parameters a bit. I’ll give you 70 points(PSU -70), as I expect Penn State to be around 170 again and Iowa 100. $50 or another incentive if you have another suggestion. I pay my debts if it happens unlike Jimmy. No conditions like injuries or other circumstantial things.

This is pretty tasty. Let me consult the nog and I might take you up if Spencer Lee gets busy streaming games and forgets to respond
