I also find it interesting...

Yes, there are double standards in political accountability regarding Trump and his supporters. He’s an 'FU' to the establishment—his humor and savvy resonate with voters fed up with traditional politics. Since 2015, the Democratic propaganda aimed at Republicans has been worse than anything Trump has done, even if he shot someone on 5th Avenue. It's puzzling that any logical person can look at multiple Harris's policies/views and still choose to vote Democrat in 2024.

Those voting for Kamala remind me of the song "Everybody plays the fool" sometimes. There is no exception to the rule. Your ability to reason gets swept away. You're out of touch with reality. This sounds about right.

No, it we're being honest, that was a partisan ***duck** up, but don't tell me the guy who was President for 7 years was warning about it.

The ONE absolute though...across the board tariffs are a massive tax, they're not effective and tariffs have been the single worse policy in US History on balance. Smoot-Hawley being the main one.

You don't get money from other Countries, your companies pay taxes.

Biden showed how...much he declined during the debate. If MAGA wasn't a cult, they'd admit the same thing after that Rogan podcast. Even Rogan...who's not even been subtle about his biases, laughed at him. He's not fit for office for a plethora of reasons.

Rome's burning. It's a small fire, but it's burning hot. We can either throw a little water on it, maybe suffocate it...or we can pour a bunch of jet fuel on it. Either way, we'll get what we deserve.

If we want to be fair, the GOP was against the Bank "Bailout," which the US made it's money back on and then some, stopping a run on the banks, and Obama bailed out the Auto Industry which was... immeasurable in terms of economic impact.

I'm not really trying to legislate every single aspect of the economy going all the way back or I'd point to Nixon freezing prices AND wages as a band aid to a gaping GSW when inflation and unemployment were inching toward 8%....then Ford upheld said policies and Carter was left with the inflation and poor economy and who was blamed for it?

The guy sitting behind the big Oval Desk.

That ONLY doesn't apply to one President...and it's the 44th man to serve as President of the United States and likely(possibly) the 46th if he wins next week.

https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2011/12/who-is-really-responsible-for-the-housing-crisis/250482/

EITHER WAY, inflation in the last CPI was down to 2.4%, the GDP is growing between 3-4%, unemployment is low...and unlike '16 when Trump promised tax cuts, even Wall Street doesn't want him back in there(they already got their cut).

But you could go on for hours about "facts," point out the man who claims the elections in 2016 and 2020 were riggged, the emmy's were rigged, the Nobel Peace Prize was rigged, point out more members of the armed forces died under his watch, pulled out of Syria giving the Russians a foothold in the area and abandoning the Kurds, the guy who calls himself a Christian yet when asked if he's ever asked for forgiveness has said, "No...I really don't think I have. I'm trying to think what would I have asked forgiveness for....I like to keep god out of all that," again, the capstone to Christianity and his supporters say, "fake news."

So....alright. I did find it funny that he went on Rogan, in part to "prove," the election was "rigged," and when Rogan asked him, he said he had a "stack of papers," and they'd talk about it "some other time."

Kamala isn't going to be Lincoln, but she's better than the guy we've been dealing with.  And given the way he didn't leave office, how his Generals are talking about how he's "fascist to the core," I don't have faith he'll leave this next time. He said he deserves an "extra term" because his was "stolen" from him.

So the argument isn't that the Democrats were perfect on the housing crisis, it's FAR deeper than that. But if they were sounding the alarm bells, why didn't they do ANYTHING when they controlled Congress? Or even try?

I also find it interesting, for all the people who are now "discredited," by being in pictures with Diddy, trump, like Epstein, referred to him as a "great friend and a great person," and said he "loved Diddy," and partied with him regularly in the 90s.

Trump, he work visas for hundreds of young girls ~14-20 who came over to serve men at parties with the hopes of earning "modeling" contracts.

Of all the creepy shit, talking about how you'd probably be having sex with your daughter when she's barely 20 if "ya know, I wasn't her Dad," is....up there. Even above the "you know what's funny...I'll be dating her in 10 years," to 10-year-old girls.

I don't know how this election will go(I suspect Trump will win due to the dumbing down of this Country...which you can see in the return of the Flat Earth theory in which people actually believe Asgard is just outside the Ice Walls and you're not "allowed" to go to the North Pole as well as ALL the other conspiracies, but the one that's almost the most impressive is how Trump has been able to take the HIGH road by many cult members on protecting children/sex work.

Makes you wonder why he'd need "Trump Escorts," trademarked or why he'd have been having SOOO many parties similar to Diddy and Epstien?

Or shit, why did he try and give Acosta, the guy who went behind Federal Prosecutors and give Epstein a deal when they had enough on him to put him away for 20+ years EASILY and were TALKING about a plea deal in which he'd get 10 years, and have Acosta give him a deal with 1 year of home confinement and then in an unprecedented move, include blanket immunity for all known and UNKNOWN co-conspirators.

For all the Epstien conspiracy theories about who shut him up, why give the guy who got him off(at least in one manner of speaking) a job in your administration?

And then...you wish his pimp well in a multitude of ways on multiple occasions and you BUY THE JET Epstein used!

I mean, the last one is not incriminating, but it's weird AT BEST. The most infamous private plane from the renowned child trafficker that you spoke highly of, you visited regularly...you'd think you'd stay away from THAT if nothing else!

And finally...again, I don't think it proves any liability on Trump's behalf, but if you can contort yourself into buying into these theories that the Clintons' or some other shadowy figure was behind the Epstein "suicide," which...I actually think may have been a suicide, he was the most infamous predator in the world by then, but if you ARE going to blame said shadowy figure, why WOULDN'T it be his old buddy Trump? He was the man in power.

How does NOTHING that happened when he was POTUS fall on his lap, but all the good things he inherited, that's all because of him?

As one person said on this very forum when I pointed out Trump was right when he said he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and not lose a supporter and that person said, "If Trump shot someone, they were in need of shooting.

By the way, is Gary Hart still alive? He has to be thinking, "what in hell? I was on track to be president and one affair ended me!?! This guy has had countless, including with porn stars and allegedly underage girls and he's got a whole cult! I was banging one blonde on a boat and it ended my career!

I won't even get into the 40 of 44 Members of his Cabinet, as well as countless other Republicans who are now lined up behind him. Amazing....

What bubble do you live in that you don’t realize that laws have been made up to charge the most investigated man in history, Donald Trump.  The latest story has a whistleblower claiming that James Comey began an off the books investigation before the Crossfire Hurricane that we know about.

Even though the numbers you mentioned make it sound like things are improving, that’s only if compared to Biden’s earlier numbers.  Inflation is still higher than at any time under Trump, prices are still going up, and the ones presented don’t include the prices of things most people spend most of their money on.

The jobs numbers get skewed by the fact that many of them indicate that people are taking second and third jobs to get by, and the massive hiring by the government, which elevates the GDP.  Manufacturing is down, productivity is down, economists are warning that the bond markets are indicating a looming recession.

If you think tariffs are bad, how do you reconcile with the Biden/harris administration keeping virtually all the Trump tariffs and adding a few of their own?

Is that the same recession that was looming in 2022, 2023, and all of 2024 so far?

If so, sign me up for two.

I kind feel bad for the maga minion, and how they’ve been delusioned by this man to believe life is so terrible here.  It really is sad to see good people living their life this way.

I see a lot of similarities with the MAGA minions and the stages of addiction. There’s still some denial going on but it’s becoming less and less, and moving more into the stage of reasoning and justifying.   I can’t wait to see how things go when the fever fully breaks.

We had NEGATIVE GDP growth. Inflation ROSE under Trump from Obama, we LOST manufacturing Jobs under Trump(Even before Covid which he magically gets NONE of the blame for) and we've GAINED 800K manufacturing jobs under Biden...

But I guess if you just say 'nuh-uh,' then it must be true.

Yes...it's baffling. Even in an optimistic view, Trump's plan will gut the economy for JUST two years.

And you actually have people on here claiming Trump brought back manufacturing when we LOST jobs, but not Biden...despite gaining 800K jobs.

It's puzzling that anyone can look at what impact tariffs have historically had to the US Economy and think, 'derr...this time it'll work.'

Just amazing after Trump trashed the economy and we're back to 3-4% GDP growth, we're WILLINGLY going back to negative GDP growth(just a gift to China) because...it's a cult. There's nothing more than that.

There’s another chart that it says is too large to post that shows that non-farm job openings have been in steady decline for the past two+ years.  You can see it here:

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2024/10/the-daily-chart-about-that-growth.php

Why don't you show the debt relative to GDP growth under the 4 years of Trump?

-2.2% GDP growth

And who added more to the debt than Trump?

Nobody.

-2.72M jobs lost under Trump
+14.6M jobs ADDED under Biden

Couch it how you'd like...those are the numbers and Trump's tariffs are going to destroy what right now is a growing GDP with inflation down at ~2.4%

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/musk-agrees-his-cuts-would-cause-economic-pain-but-if-elected-could-trump-and-his-republican-allies-stomach-it-205754834.html?.tsrc=fin-notif

The ONLY argument is that...Trump won't actually do the ONE thing he's done and that he's built his entire economic policy on. That's brilliant.

Was this the interview where they literally edited her answers and subbed in a different answer from the question she was asked ?    I.e. censorship and manipulation to get votes?  Or was that a different one.  I don’t remember.

You have some evidence (other than rando tiktok videos) for that?

This is just another Trump garbage nuisance suit which will hit the trash can with a sad plop.

CBS News acknowledged Sunday night that it had trimmed an answer from Vice President Kamala Harris about the war in the Middle East during a “60 Minutes” interview that aired earlier this montH

CBS '60 Minutes' airs two different answers from VP Harris to the same question

CBS aired two different answers to the same question in its "60 Minutes" interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, replacing a clip from the Democratic nominee that aired on "Face the Nation" Sunday when the interview package aired in a primetime special on Monday.

Harris was mocked by conservatives when footage of her offering a lengthy "word salad" that was aired by CBS on Sunday’s "Face the Nation" to promote the "60 Minutes" sit-down, when Bill Whitaker asked why it seemed like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wasn’t listening to the United States. However, the vice president’s lengthy answer didn’t make the version that aired on Monday night on "60 Minutes" and a shorter, more focused answer to the same question was shown instead.

"Well Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region," Harris responded in the "Face the Nation" version.

Sometimes interviews are edited to save time, but when CBS aired the interview on Monday night, Harris had a different answer to the exact same question.

"We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end," Harris said.

It is unclear why CBS aired two different answers to the same question. However, CBS has posted both clips on YouTube. CBS News did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Trump campaign called for CBS to release the full interview unedited on Tuesday.
