And the winner gets Ferrari?

j/k.  If not for Brooks, Keck might be going for his 4th.  Interesting style matchup too.

He lost to Truax in the 2022 quarters, on the other side of the bracket from Brooks.

Craig Henning got screwed in the 2007 NCAA Finals.

Hard to see Keck scoring on Star, assuming both are fit enough for the match this early in the season.

Wonder if a negative result here might encourage Keck to move up to 197.

I doubt that if 3 years in the same bracket as Brooks didn't discourage him that a loss to Carter would be able to

Very interesting matchup, Carter has not wrestled someone who can score from both sides like PK since Kem.

What percentage of initially announced All Star matches actually end up being wrestled?

That's why I didn't say he'd be going for 5 but for Brooks.

Truax then lost to Amine.

Do these guys get money for competing? If not, why do they do it? Seems like it would disrupt studying, sleep, training, and possibly diet.

Just pop some therapeutic Adderall and the focus on school will be there.

Do:  Brooks, MM and Taylor count in practice?

Or Nolf, in Freestyle? Practice, too.

If PK wins this match I wonder if Star just bumps right up to 197....

Champions don't change weights to avoid people. Neither PK nor CS would move based upon the result of this match.

Absolutely, do you have any insight on how those bouts go?

This is true.

What could also be true is that one of them already had intended to go up (or down) prior to this match being finalized.

Hurt Starocci lost to Thicclay.  Thicclay split with PK last they met at 184lbs.  Thicclay from last year, though?  I take him over PK.
