If Facundo doesn't beat out Mess or Haines, does he transfer at Christmas?

I would think so. He probably would qualify for Ncaa's and be an all-American.

If he is wrestling 157, why would he be trying to beat out the 165 and 174lbers?

See question above...

Is that bit about how Facundo is "looking a little Lite this Yr" some sort of inside info that he's going 157 (while Kasak redshirts)?

That would be cool, but man, how many years has it been since he's been that light?  Shoot, he wrestled in Who's Number 1 in 2018 at 160.

My question is him staying down to 157.

is it possible(yes)? is it a good idea for him? is it a good precedent for the program? if they cut him down and then ditch him when he can't perform is that gonna look bad for recruiting? Whats the actual question.

I don't see him being capable at 157, and he's definitely not winning 165. Probably not beating Haines at 174 either, so my question was does he stay or go.

Why did Haines not want a RS?

2018 was when he had just done Cadet Words/Pan Ams at 71 KG (~156.5lbs) I believe.  I think you're correct on the timing.

Some guys just want to be done in 4 years.

He just not a title last year. I am sure he is confident in his abilities to repeat.

Maybe Michigan at 174

If he were to transfer I would guess it would come after the 2025 US Open training with NLWC and Michigan makes a lot of sense as him and Beau could wrestle off for 165/174 as both guys have frames to bulk up IMO

He's an ncaa champ, why would he? Because Facundo has been a good solider and deserves a shot? They don't care about that.

I think Facundo beat Haines (freestyle) and F may not be thinking that he will not win a spot in the PSU lineup from his time in the room.   Kasak redshirt may be as likely as other redshirt scenarios.  No disrespect to Kasak who was excellent and was big time in the consi bracket at NCAAs.  No doubt K and F are ready for prime time.

Honestly, I'm still suprised none of Taylor's students followed him to Stillwater.

Yet**

The Transfer Window was closed, which doesn't matter for Grad Transfers.

He was very hands on there, if you believe their social medias.

Haines, Ryder, Duke, etc - it would not surprise me if any of them followed.  I don't think they will, though.
