All data collection is junk. But some is more valuable than others.

Even if it goes into a data table or spreadsheet?

So it is proven that violent crime is down when the most violent cities do not participate in the UCR program.

Folks, that is the definition of being disingenous.   If Chicago reported there would be a different result.

Is there a graph for all crime? I would say in some areas it just goes unreported. Like in California if it's under 900 dollars.

Same in WA.

There are lots of places where the cops won’t answer calls unless the crime is serious and in progress.  To make a worthless report, you have to go to the station.

Hence crime is down.

My car was stolen back in Feb of this year in Chicago.  Getting it reported was a huge pain in the azz.  To make matters worse it was stolen from the front of my house.  They made me Uber to the police station to report it….. wouldn’t take the report over the phone…… and I needed the report for the insurance claim.   Was a pizz poor cust sat issue for me but like they say.   You can’t fight city hall.

No one seemed to care but hey.  The times we live in are crazy.  I have a close family member that used to be a detective in grand theft auto (in Chicago) and he couldn’t believe how the process has changed.

It isn't hard.   DOJ survey says crime is up.,   FBI says  crime is down with major crime centers not reporting.  Apparently it takes a rocket scientist to figure out the crime is up.

Trump was 100% correct in his debate with NBC.   No one will report that but he was in fact 100% correct.

https://thehill.com/homenews/media/4931278-trump-claims-venezuelan-gangs-aurora/

Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (Ohio) and ABC News’s Martha Raddatz argued Sunday over former President Trump’s claims of Venezuelan gangs in a Colorado city.

Raddatz asked Vance when he joined “This Week” if he supports Trump’s remarks about the gangs’ presence in Aurora, even after the Republican mayor said they were “grossly exaggerated” claims that have hurt the city.

“Well, Martha, you just said the mayor said they were exaggerated. That means there’s gotta be some element of truth here,” Vance said.

“What we’re hearing, of course, Martha, is that people are terrified by what has happened with some of these Venezuelan gangs,” Vance said Sunday.

Raddatz interrupted Vance.

“I’m going to stop you,” she repeated. “The incidents were limited to a handful of apartment complexes, and the mayor said our dedicated police officers have acted on those concerns. A handful of problems.”

“Martha, do you hear yourself?” Vance questioned. “Only a handful of apartment complexes in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs and Donald Trump is the problem? And not Kamala Harris’s open border?”

Vance continued, noting that Americans are “so fed up with what’s going on, and they have every right to be.”

So Raddatz is saying that if only a handful of apartment complexes are taken over by illegal immigrant gangs, that this is not a problem.   Let's see what she says when armed gangs of illegal aliens takes over her domicile.   She probably won't be quite so understanding.   Vance hit the nail on the head with this one.   He eviscerated both Raddatz and Harris in one blow.

One other observation, why is it that media folks think they have to argue with candidates.   They are there to ask questions their readers or listeners want to hear answers to.   But they have taken on the mantle of arguing with these guys.   There is something wrong with that.

What’s sinister about this is that the ‘change’ wasn’t announced - it was discovered.

“When the FBI originally released the “final” crime data for 2022 in September 2023, it reported that the nation’s violent crime rate fell by 2.1%. This quickly became, and remains, a Democratic Party talking point to counter Donald Trump’s claims of soaring crime.

But the FBI has quietly revised those numbers, releasing new data that shows violent crime increased in 2022 by 4.5%. The new data includes thousands more murders, rapes, robberies, and aggravated assaults.

The Bureau – which has been at the center of partisan storms – made no mention of these revisions in its September 2024 press release

RCI discovered the change through a cryptic reference on the FBI website that states: “The 2022 violent crime rate has been updated for inclusion in CIUS, 2023.” But there is no mention that the numbers increased. One only sees the change by downloading the FBI’s new crime data and comparing it to the file released last year.

After the FBI released its new crime data in September, a USA Today headline read: “Violent crime dropped for third straight year in 2023, including murder and rape.”

It’s been over three weeks since the FBI released the revised data. The Bureau’s lack of acknowledgment or explanation about the significant change concerns researchers.

“I have checked the data on total violent crime from 2004 to 2022,” Carl Moody, a professor at the College of William & Mary who specializes in studying crime, told RealClearInvestigations. “There were no revisions from 2004 to 2015, and from 2016 to 2020, there were small changes of less than one percentage point. The huge changes in 2021 and 2022, especially without an explanation, make it difficult to trust the FBI data.”

“It is up to the FBI to explain what they have done, and they haven’t explained these large changes,” Dr. Thomas Marvell, the president of Justec Research, a criminal justice statistical research organization, told RCI.“

But we are to trust our government institutions.   With this kind of crap - WHY?

Jobs numbers are great, oh shoot, they were 800k lower than we said.   Darn.   We're lucky they acknowledged this it appears.

When they consistently hide the truth from us, what are we supposed to trust.   Not one thing they say.

The whole FBI and Mueller Russia hoax thing comes to mind.   It is a fact they lied about this being real they knew it at the time and said nothing.   Even went so far as to have Mueller spend outrageous sums of money only to say it didn't happen.

House needs to be cleaned. Who will do that I wonder?
