I don't put too much stock into Hildebrandt's losses in 2019. Well, not as much as the fact that Vinesh beat Suzaki today. Vinesh didn't look unbeatable in her first two matches, though. I learned yesterday that the gymnasts pay $300 for a challenge...and that used to be cash, which resulted in coaches approaching the judges and hurling cash at them in protest. They would let us know if a coach approached the FILA (now UWW) table and dropped the 400 Swiss francs there for a protest. But those were post match protests. I don't believe they charge these days. Would actually take more time as they'd have to go to the closest ATM! Buxton was the "escort" (don't read anything into that phrase) for a wrestler from the Philipines as I recall. He walked off losing like 8-1. He thought he should have had another score. He dropped off the cash with Buxton telling him not to bother (I don't believe they got the money back).
