No. It doesn't help at all.

Good for you for joining the 'professional' level - in a group of maybe 60 million'ish people. Hope you have done well.

Your are comparing your career to Gable's? C'mon man. You are delirious.

What are you talking about? There aren't two cohesive clauses in this whole post.

Google implies.   (And could be wrong) he didn’t declare a major?   Is that correct or bs?

In 2022 he graduated with a double major in Communications, and I believe, Marketing. He said he is currently taking grad classes but didn't get specific.

Speaking of index funds ( @Wrestleknownothing, didn't know that about your background - interesting!), I don't think it's necessarily helpful for individuals in the wrestling world (or any other part of the world) to dwell too much on how they measure against some external benchmark.  More useful to measure yourself on where you want to be.

It's cool to hear about everyone's path at age 25, but not sure how pertinent it is to Gable (or anyone else for that matter)

I'm not taking a shot at you WKN. I was just saying generally I don't like having a consensus view on what growing up looks like (as long we we are treating people with respect).  Ambition comes in all shapes and sizes.

... I was still a mess at 25, wasn't out of college yet and had some real issues making the right choices in what I was going to do in life. Anyone else ...

Couldn't agree more. Wish that during that time I'd been able to be as financially set up as Gable. And I bet most of us have some regrets about the what ifs in our lives, at least GS saw those out.

Hope he sticks around here.

Only thing that bugs me is the retroactive redshirts and taking pro money, I remember another MN wrestler who made a mixtape that jeopardized his amateur status. NCAA sports have come a long way, probably for the better in most ways. If anything I just feel bad for the guys that came before living on oatmeal and great value chicken breast.

Yeah, Joel Bauman got a raw deal out of all of that. Now it's pretty much "give them another year" for something as much as a hangnail. I think the lost year was one thing that really messed it all up. Legit Olympic redshirts were supposed to be monitored better, because in the past, guys would take them and never show up for something as easy as the NYAC. Then it became a bit more stringent, then lawsuits and 9th-year tight ends started popping up. For Gable, he did win a World Team Trials in those two years, so he was qualified for the Olympic Trials by actual competition. Ferrari, yeah, not so much on him there TBH.

It'll be Gable's fourth chance to wrestle at the NCAAs. So that's probably what gives me less problem with this than some of the other moves going around.
