Seeing reports of people being told to get out of line and to come back later to vote or in one case they were told to go to another location. Mostly in Pennsylvania.

Was there a reason for this?

I just read where it's to encourage them to mail in vote instead of vote early.

August and September of an election year seems really close to an election and not allowing much time for someone to fix any issues. Seems like something that should be like a January through March of an election year at the latest kind of thing.

If we had applied this logic to the 2020 election the outcome would have been very different.  State AGs were making massive unauthorized and illegal changes to election procedures throughout the election season up to and after the actual election date.

Also, it is never too late to correct a known mistake and illegal action - i.e. allowing someone to vote or receive a ballot (which can then be harvested by nefarious actors on either side).

I'm more worried about what recourse a legal voter has if they're purged. If they have enough time to deal with the inevitable bureaucracy than do your voter roll maintenance, if they don't, then it's too late to do this kind of thing.

Also those pesky 51 lying intel agents……. Nothing to see here.  The American voter should not have had the truth until 4 years later lol.

They sure are setting up the “RIGGED”.  “STOLEN ELECTION” again.  And of course the minions are slobbering….again.

Agree.  Russian election interference is looming behind every Hillary Clinton speech.  Stacey Abrams is a Rig-amaniac.  Minions are slobbering everywhere.

WR - slobbering and court cases are constitutionally protected means of questioning outcomes.  If you are the police chief of a major American city which side are you worried about rioting if they lose?

Serious question. Why are people who show up to vote being encouraged to fill out a mail-in ballot instead? If people didn't want to vote in person they would be waiting in 3+ hour lines.

I assume money.

Here in Tulsa there are two early voting locations for the entire county, and we don't have a very long early in person voting window, today through Saturday.

It looks like only Cleveland County, where OU is located is the only county in the whole state with more than 2 locations.

Looks like on actual election day we'll have 239 voting locations. In 2022 I think it took me about 90 minutes, but they had split people up into two lines by last name. If you were the first half of the alphabet you could be in and out in like 5 minutes. Obviously I'm not still mad about it.

Dang! How do we not have standard procedure across all states? Here in KS it opened October 15th I think. I went this past Saturday and walked right in. I wonder if other states just don't have as many volunteers workers or just have a lot more people show up?

WA is all mail in vote.   My wife and I voted yesterday.    Will mail it in today.

Mail in vote has its problems no doubt.   But the fact you get to review the ballot for hours if you want to is nice.    Being surprised by the contents of the ballot at the voting booth I never liked.   That said, I do like voting in person and showing ID and I think that is the best way to handle voting.   Even with that, we had some weird election results before mail in voting.   We've had  more since.  There is always a way to find more ballots it seems.   Before  mail in, the governors race was won on the 3rd recount paid for by the democrat.   Mysteriously, a bunch of ballots were found in the trunk of a car.   The D won that last recount after the R had won the vote, and two recounts.
