Are all the Pro-Palestine, anti Israel protests helping or hurting the Democrats?

@uncle bernard Putting aside the issue of where one stands on this conflict, do you think the nature of some the protests have crossed any sort of line?

Examples would be visibly Jewish students walking to class being accosted/surrounded and chanted at?

Reports of protesters chanting “kill the Jews”.

Occupying campus buildings, which are clearly against university policy.

Are their ground rules for how a protest should be conducted? And consequences when those rules broken?

Are you concerned about a peaceful protestor being slammed to the ground or not? Where's the outrage over free speech and freedom that you think makes this the greatest country in the world? Show some consistency and integrity.

You’re far from consistent when it comes to both sides.  You defend one and obliterate the other.

that’s not always what happens but if the civilians don’t leave then yes. i know this is hard to accept but the other side cheating doesn’t make it okay to mass kill civilians.

if they want our tax dollars and our guns, they should follow the rules of war they agreed to.

Like Ukraine does 🤦‍♂️

read this thread. our government is fully aware what’s going on.

No sir, these folks are lying and distorting the truth.  I read an article that said a couple of inputs were derogatory but most found no issue or variance with Israel’s claims.

It’s most egregious that you claim some level of fairness saying both sides are wrong, but Israel is somehow the worst.  You claim that it’s genocide, that the IDF is killing 20 ‘civilians’ to get one terrorist, but the analysts say that the number of ‘civilian’ deaths are below 2-1.  That’s the lowest known number of civilian casualties in history for urban warfare.  It’s less accurate because 75% of those ‘civilians’ fully support what happened on October 7th, and want Hamas to continue killing Jews, while a large number of ‘civilians’ participated in October 7th and the mistreatment of hostages afterwards.

So your malicious exaggeration and feigned objectivity make your antisemitism evident to anyone with a room temperature IQ.

As for the protesters, there are some well paid instigators leading some well heeled skulls full of mush, aided by incompetent, elitist faculty, towards self destruction.

Do you have a source for the 2–1 civilian deaths? Is it one of the sources that counts children women and journalists as combatants?

find one instance of me defending hamas or saying they’re good.

When you start bashing hamas like you do Israel maybe you’ll be taken seriously.  And numerous times when I’ve ripped on hamas for Oct 7th and getting what’s coming to them you’ve responded with “but but but Israel killed thousands before Oct 7th.  So what?   Oct 7th didn’t need to happen.

the notable example of “kill the jews” was confirmed (on video and by journalists on site) to be from a pro-israel protestor.

the vast majority of these are peaceful until the police show up.

people will always find reasons for why they support free speech but *this* time is different. a lot of people tend to be anti-war and pro-civil rights except for the war and protests going on right now.

i’ve been at a protest for the last 3 days. the only time it gets confrontational is when the police show up to enforce a rule the university instituted overnight to give them an excuse to break up the protest. the rest of the time it’s a few hundred people sitting in the campus designated protest zone sharing food, singing, chanting, doing homework, and getting sun. israeli counter protesters show up and try to provoke us and we just by saying offensive things and we just laugh and ignore them.

yet, when you go online, this encampment is described by many sources as violent and confrontational with isolated clips of when the riot police show up and assault people. it’s insane.
