I think it's more likely Belton goes 133 than Schwartz. Seems like Schwartz's 133 days are long gone. He's been at 141 for 2 years now. And I am pretty certain he transferred out of UNCO because he knew Alirez was dropping to 141 and he wanted to go 141 himself.

Belton has been at 141 lbs for the last THREE seasons.

Missouri

125- Noah Surtin, Senior (unlike this year they will have kids that can spell him from time to time so he is not as beat up come nationals)
133- Kade Moore, Sophomore (with a possibility of True Freshman Gage Walker or Jake Crapps possibly pushing him for the spot)
141- Josh Edmond, Junior
149- Logan Gioffre, Sr., / Nathan Pulliam, Jr., /Zeke Seltzer, So. - I can see Seltzer being the starter here after gettin a summer of putting on some good weight.
157- J. Conway, So.,/Cameron Steed, So., /Logan Gioffre, Sr.,  - This would be Steed's but I heard he now weighs in the 180s. Gioffre wrestled 157 last year so it wouldn't surprise me.
165 - Cameron Steed, So.or Keegan O'Toole Sr., - I think it is going to be Steed.
174- O'Toole Sr.,  (or possibly Whiting if Keegan goes back to 165 or even Steed)
184- Hawks, Jr. /Whiting, So.  - It will be a battle again.
197- Rocky Elam, Sr. - With Sinclair redshirting. I don't think Rocky has the frame to carry the weight like his brother. Plus it took Zach 2+ years to become a good sized 285 weight wise. Don't think they can do it 6 months.
285- Seth Nitzel, Jr.  or Portal. Heard that Boersma was hurt this year and maybe done (which sucks). Just keeping it warm until Stillwell gets here.

Revisited lineup,....Same as above with the following exceptions;

197 - Sinclair

285 - Rocky Elam

Some folks called me batshit for suggesting Rocky to 285lbs.

I think Hawkes to 197 and Sinclair to 184 makes more sense for points at NCAA, though.

Looks like Hughes might be going 141 now.  That will be a fun wrestle-off with Jamison.

Looking at the brackets - did both Hughes and McComas miss weight?

Not sure about McComas, but Hughes did. So did Kasak at 70kg.

Seltzer at 70KG for U20s. 149 or 157 most likely for him. Crazy how much he has grown. Supposed to start at 133 but no I see why he couldn’t hold the weight.

McComas missed weight as well, but wrestled at 65kg and got hammered.

If Sinclair wrestles in the line up next year it won’t be at 197 unless he puts on about 10-15 lbs of muscle and cuts some fat.  So I doubt that will happen.  Elam doesn’t have enough ass for heavy.  Those big boys would just lean on him and gas him out.

Any chance that Seth Nitzel returns to Mizzou to fill the 285 slot?  That would allow:

125 - Noah Surtin

133 - Kade Moore

141 - Josh Edmond

149 - Zeke Seltzer

157 - Cam Steed

165 - O'Toole

174  - Sinclair/Hawks

184 - Colton Hawks/Sinclair

197 - Rocky Elam

285 - Seth Nitzel

I think Jamison intends to move up to 149 next year. His dad said that it was a very tough cut for him but he would do whatever is needed for the team.

O'Toole is already confirmed at 174lbs man.

Iowa Hawkeyes

125: Drake Ayala (will wrestle limited matches like Glory did to help manage the cut over the course of the season).  Joey Cruz will fill in when Ayala has to bump up or sit out

133: Kale Peterson

141: Ryder Block

149: Kyle Parco

157: Mikey Caliendo

165: Patrick Kennedy

174: Gabe Arnold

184: Nelson Brands

197: Zach Glazier

285: Ben Kueter

My guess is that Angelo will and should redshirt.  Anthony will never be welcome back.  And AJ is maybe 40% chance of coming back for them.  I hope they choose Glazier instead who gained a lot of respect from me and others last year.

this could be an over reaction to the series with Ryder but I think Angelo or PK may be better options at 174. If Gabe cannot generate offense I think he is clearly behind KOT,Hamiti, whoever PSU's guy is Welsh, devos.

what is the evidence Caliendo can make 157? Excuse me if it was previously discussed.

just that he certified at it I think.

A combination of that and that it had been said that if Franek were not there originally, Caliendo would have been at 157 all along.

I’d look for Schriever at 133. Peterson had offseason surgery
