Also shoutout Jack Jessen. 184 past five years bumped wayyy up to 285 this year. He looks like he doesn't weigh more than 205 and had a tough day but gotta give kudos where they are do for guys who had rough injuries early and just do it for love of the game.

Is there a break before the quarters?

How else would they make money if they didn't ask fans to vacate the premises for an hour then pay for the next session?

A Med FFT in a tournament counts as a loss to that opponent on the record. Is that correct? Starting to see some pop up.

The first one does unless he had a default right before.

anyone taking chittum over andonian? I'm not, just curious.

No although he does have a couple things going for him against a guy like Andonian:

better gas tank

a little shorter and stouter - hard to toss because of center of gravity

yeah thats why its fascinating. he has a better gas tank, but seems like andonians atheticism will shut that style down.

also off the initial throw thats true, but once youre in the eye to eye bridging scenario longer guys tend to get the job done i think?

VT really waved the white flag this weekend.

How so?

white flag is indicative of surrender. Even in Andonian’s loss, he was bringing it against an opponent that’ll be a legit natty title contender after this weekend

A couple things: First, the Maryland Millers seem like really big dudes for their weight. Are they having trouble settling into their respective weights early in the season? They seemed to come on late in the season last year.

Second, the only person who should be pitching a diet plan on TV or the radio or the internet is Gavin Hoffman. Dude starts out at 197, but the next year he's at 184, a year later 285, then 197 for three years, then back down to 184. He even wrestled a bunch of matches at 285 one year that he started out wrestling a bunch of matches at 184. This was a quick go-over, but I got these for his records at the various weights:

285 --  17-3

197 --  40-30

184 --  37-10

He's obviously much better as a fatty.
