I wasn't going to comment on the commentators because I thought you all wouldn't appreciate bringing it up but now since it has been brought up..... It was really terrible.  This is Iowa wrestling!  You bring the best you can get, i literally cringed more times than I can remember and yelled at the TV at least a few times with some of the asinine things that were said during the broadcast.  I'd rather have no commentary than whatever that hot mess was.

On the flip side, that’s a lot of Iowa kids in the lineup.

I’m fine with Iowa having lots of Iowa kids on their lineup. And may their dominance of the Iowa recruiting scene continue for many, many years.

Yeah.   I don’t ever want to see Iowa fans complain about Angel Rivera, he gave them a bit of a gift there

I'm not sure where you are going with this?  I agreed with you that Arnold would at least be competitive and have a shot at winning.  He proved it in freestyle, and now he's proved it against a grown ass man (in folk) when some said he couldn't.  I was taking a relatively small victory lap.

(I don't get many on LeDuke)

Fair points.

I am often in the same boat with all of you.

I also want (need) my laps.

I am sorry for mistaking your remark as snide - that is my bad, mate.

Yeah.... it was pretty bad. Not knowing team scoring was a very bad look.

Once again the announcers did not train in the off season...

For any who haven't heard him, take a listen to Hardell Moore.  Imo he's the type that should be announcing NCAA.  Does his homework, able to call moves without acting likes he's coaching, and my recollection able to talk about what both wrestlers are doing.  If you are an announcer and the visiting team subs in a different wrestler, you should be able to recognize it and tells us who it is not spend the whole match calling out the wrong name.  My two cent+.

Can you do the Gabe Arnold is going to beat Starrocci thread just so Cinnabon doesn't do it.

Thanks

If I thought it might happen I would.

I don't think anybody is touching Stalrocci at 174lbs this season unless O'Toole bumps up.  A 165lb O'Toole isn't beating a 174lb Stalrocci, though.

Not sure if Mizzou will see Penn State this season.

Olguin went to the Roadrunner.

What the actual ***duck**?

Yep... he's been dinged up. Should be at Vegas.   I was hoping he would be in Iowa for the Caliendo match. Double OT at NCAA last season - would have been a good one.

Gabe Arnold should, he's already said it a few times.

Yeah, I did not expect him to score any offensive points on Caliendo.  Olguin might have won that match.

Yep... Fouret is not a slouch. He has some funk -Caliendo stayed calm and adjusted.

Yep - could have been a replay of the OT2 match at the NCAA.
