It looks like that's the case.  I'm not even sure you can access it within the US anyways.  I saw in the UWW+ FAQ that there is a GeoBlock on the US.

IN WHICH COUNTRY IS UWW+ AVAILABLE?

  • UWW+ is available worldwide. Some live content may vary by location due to local television broadcast restrictions.
  • Current Geoblock Restrictions on Live Content: United States

FLO is carrying the World Championship feed (of course, you would have to have a FLO subscription for that, naturally.)

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Seems those of us outside of the USA will now also have to pay to watch.

I would prefer they let a company like Eurosport run all of this if we are going to pay. The website has already regressed since they started this UWW+ stuff. But let's see what happens.

So, no more VPN option. Looks like the site is live at https://uww.org/uww-plus

Looks like a nice landing place for wrestling content but I'm wondering how the pricing will work for a global audience. There are three subscription tiers: pay per match, pay per day, and pay per tournament, but I can't get past the sign-up page. Maybe it's because I'm in the US.

I'm outside the states and can confirm the website is poor and doesn't work properly. They were  practically trying to stop me from giving them my money with how much of a pain in the ass it was to finally get to the subscription page. Had to end up deleting the app and refreshing a million times until it worked.

Regardless, it was 15 Euros for the whole world championship tournament. You can also purchase a day pass if you only care about 1 particular session but I never checked the price for that.

€15 is fair to me. No monthly recurring subscription or anything.

Well that sucks, I was hoping to take the VPN route 😕

15 Euros = 16.10 USD

Much more palatable than $250 along with a much lower likelihood of the stream randomly dropping and insurance commercials playing during the middle of  matches.

Keep the VPN and financially support our sport finally taking a big technological leap at global scale while also whipping out the middle finger to our biggest domestic gatekeeper who artificially inflates the pricing model.

This is what annoyed me when I was a flo subscriber.  They obviously had the same source stream as one from VPN so there was no where for them to go but down.  And down they went.
