My son, when we lived in Hawaii, ate opihi raw.

It is a shellfish that clings to rocks.   Highly prized there as a delicacy.   I just get the heebie jeebies thinking about it.

Raw oysters don’t have much flavor to me, but I was introduced to smoked oysters on the half shell at Johnny Casey’s in Shreveport that were flavorful.

Making ribs today.  First time in a very long time I’m gonna to not wrap them.   I’m a 70% of the time butcher paper 30% of the time foil rib person.  Wife and kids are at the farm so I decided to change it to see the difference.

My wife’s family owns a farm or two in Iowa

I saw a clip on Memphis style unwrapped ribs and immediately went to the butcher lol

Youngest was over today, saw big cut of sirloin tip in the fridge.

What he said: Let’s do something with that steak.

What I heard: Cheesesteaks.

Four cheeses, pepper relish, and beef tallow.
