Not just "Don't say Gay" it's actually "Don't Exist While Gay"

Happening about 40 miles from where I sit right now, a teacher is under investigation for showing a PG movie (after all parents had signed a permission slip saying the kids could watch PG movies) because one of the characters in the movie is gay.

I thought this is probably a situation where they investigate all complaints and there was a complaint from some irrational nut job.  Then I saw the complainant is a school board member, so truly sad and pathetic.

I'll take an educated guess - sexual orientation of the character is inferred rather than expressed.

This is exactly what is happening...it was a whacko nut job that is on the school board who had a kid in the class...that person is the one who complained and initiated an "investigation". 

Another example of people taking an extreme case of a single whacko and extrapolating it across the whole state and education system to meet a political agenda and narrative (not you Plasi...in this case).

The teacher is currently being investigated by the Florida Department of Education based on this complaint.  It's literally the first sentence in the article.

A school board member is a person of influence, whacko or not.

This will be a lot to do about nothing in the end.  The person on the board is a whacadoodle and that is why it is being "investigated"...and procedurally they probably have to since there was technically a complaint.
