If they use the shirts wisely at worst Ferrari would just have to sit 1 year behind Kennedy, ...

@Laxhawk174, @BlacknGold

Your "at worse" scenario is Ferrari blows up the program, anything else is just gravy.

Lol, I’m talking about the Lineups at worst scenario, not the rest 😂

If he blows up the program it affects the lineup.  😉

I’m intrigued how the Hawkeyes handle the middle weights with Chittum, Ferrari, Cobe, and Kennedy.

Maybe it can look like this

2024

-   157 - Chittum, Ferrari (Redshirt)

-   165 - Kennedy

-   174 - Brands, Arnold (RS, GS, or OlympicShirt if he makes team and medals)

2025

-   157 - Ferrari, Chittum (Redshirt)

-   165 - Kennedy

-   174 - Arnold

2026

-   157 - Chittum

-   165 - Kennedy / Ferrari

-   174 - Arnold (or uses his RS if he uses and qualifies for OLYRS) / Kennedy

@Laxhawk174, @BlacknGold

Something like that. Maybe Ferrari redshirts, and loses a year behind Kennedy and Chittum, unless he can beat them for a weight class, which is possible. Then gets 3 years in the lineup, perhaps along side his brothers. 3-4 year starter. Estrada can jump in at 149 long term

2024
149- Siebrecht (JR)
157- Chittum (FR)
165- Kennedy (SO)/ Ferrari RS
174- Brands (SR)/ Arnold RS

2025
149- Elite AA Transfer?/ Siebrecht (SR)/ Estrada RS
157- Chittum (SO)
165- Kennedy (JR)/ Ferrari (FR)
174- Arnold (FR)

2026
149- Estrada (FR)
157- Kennedy (SR)/ Chittum RS
165- Ferrari (SO)
174- Arnold (SO)

2027
149- Estrada (SO)
157- Chittum (JR)
165- Ferrari (JR)
174- Arnold (JR)

So you don't think Ferrari is seeing 157?  I don't either.  The youngest is looking more and more like a 184lber and I am thinking the middle one grows in to 174.

I don't see Kennedy dropping to 157 unless the middle Ferrari gets a lot better.  He is the worst of the bunch and quite possibly might not even contend for AA honors his entire career.  The youngest (and obviously the oldest) have it in them to contend for titles (opinion).

Also, I really like Arnold at 174 long term.  I hope the weight isn't tough to hold.

I have high confidence in the ability of all 3 Ferraris. Give an athlete like Anthony a year or 2 in the Iowa room and he's going to be a monster. Kennedy has already said he can make 157 so we know that's possible. Regardless of exact weights, I believe they work it all out and put together a steam-roller lineup for the next 5 years

Arnold should be fine at 174 and I think him and Angello will figure out who is 174/184 long term

So either Kennedy or Chittum ride the pine in this scenario.

Also, a Kennedy vs Lewan match would make me turn off the TV.

Someone could end up losing a year and get back in the lineup the following year, part of life. Or not, we will see.

Penn States log jam is way worse, you guys should be on the psu thread discussing who is transferring off your team next year 😅

There are a bunch of PSU guys who have said that there was no point in transferring. If you want to be an NCAA champion you have to beat the people in front of you, starting with your teammates. You can go up or down in weight but if you can’t be the man on your own team you’re unlikely to win it all.

Kennedy actually scores points and pushes the pace. You probably have a skewed view after watching him against the offensive dynamo Facundo.

DUMP MEATLOAF

In bowl add:
2 lbs. ground beef

1 1/4 cups seasoned bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
Salt, pepper to taste
1/2 can of Hunt’s Meatloaf Sauce

Mix all ingredients in bowl and mold into rectangle. Cook for one hour in oven at 400° . Remove from oven and remove all grease. Pour remaining sauce on top and put back in oven for 10 minutes. Remove, slice, and serve.

I sometimes like to take the meatloaf out like 15-20 mins early.    Slice it in half lengthwise.   Later sone fresh mozzarella and maybe tomatoe/sauce/whatever.   Re assemble put top back on.  Finish

Facundo is no longer the 65 pounder at Penn State. It's Mesenbrink now.

Facundo, if healthy, will have something to say about that. Loser takes an OLY? Or maybe Facundo goes up if Starocci isn’t coming back?

That is totally irrelevant to my comment.
