Hodge winners don't get ridden for an entire period. Discuss.

Danny never got ridden, much less like a mule.

You can also argue that Hodge winners don't give up nearfall, twice

they don't get pinned either 🤔 and Danny was never called for stalling.

Wasn't there another strong Hodge contender not too long ago who got rode out for a period? Deakin vs. Nolf?

Smart strategy by Deakin. Accept a couple stalling calls to prevent the seemingly inevitable tech fall.

And Deakin hilariously almost got stalled out from top. While ranked #2 in the country. One of the funniest things I have ever seen in wrestling. Never saw a top guy concede defeat so thoroughly.

Should the Hodge trophy be discontinued?  Wasn't he 25 years old his senior year at Nationals?

Aren't you an Iowa fan?

And? Does that mean I have to bury my head in the sand and put my fandom before reason?

Not that it makes much difference, but the post you quoted was referencing Metcalf winning it the year he got pinned

I was operating under a faulty assumption. I thought you were ignoring that. My bad.
