Also agreed. Dee may not have it naturally, but we'll see if he can learn it.

I hope for the best for him. I think if anyone can pull it out of him, DT’s a good one to do it. He definitely has the talent and I’d love nothing more than to see him turn that corner.

Hell, he beat Caliendo last year. He’s no scrub by any stretch.

For the record I think Lockett is completely cringe and won't route for him till PSU is in imminent danger....

One thing i haven't heard mentioned, Lorenzo Norman is really really good, he's not MM so it makes sesne in a PSU/OSU topic, but I didn't realize he landed there till recently. Top 4.

Couple years ago Norman gave Hamiti one of his toughest matches at CKLV.  Norman got a first period takedown.  Hamiti had it tied 3-3 going into the 3rd and controlled him with a ride out to win 4-3.  Norman looked very dangerous early that year, think injuries slowed him down.  Hamiti ended the season pretty well.  Norman under DT could do anything.

I don't think he's gonna be a bonus machine, but I don't think he's gonna be a significant underdog unless he hits MM, which won't happen anytime soon cause Cael hates wrestling when its not working harder for him than vice versa. Two or three seed.

That was a great match by Norman. I knew he had beat Griffith at CKLV during his RS season, but Hamiti was crushing everyone up until that match at CKLV. I thought Norman's match with O'Toole in the second round at NCAA was even more impressive. I remember I was driving in my car and had the stream playing (🤫), and it seemed certain that Norman had pulled off the upset. He was up 7-3 (with over a minute of RT at that point) with 1:05 to go before a gutsy comeback from O'Toole (Norman kind of fell of a cliff). It seems like that match goes somewhat forgotten since it was an early round match at NCAAs, but it was a great watch. It's on youtube for anyone interested in giving it a watch.

Also controlled N Brands completely before Norman’s injury issues who I think took 4th?

One thing that stuck out while catching up on the thread, that I find myself being more reserved than others, is the willingness to treat an MM the same way at 174 as if he were at 165. And this is coming from someone who’s said the past two years he’s the best wrestler in the NCAA. People are throwing out guarantee bonuses against top 15 guys in the weight and I just don’t think it’s going to be that easy.

Good point and I haven't thought of it that way.  He did have a close match with Hepner from UNC and Hepner is a big 165 so there is some data there.  I think MM still wins but bonus rate could drop a bit.

Keegan ghosting him on two ducks to win the match was really all time and underappreciated. I do believe Keegan was super injured at that NCAA's though but Lorenzo was a redshirt freshamn.
