    This is basically a best case scenario for OSU, where they win every toss up match. Next year however it would be a really close dual.

    The problem is OSU’s atrocious bonus rate. Last year, OSU had one wrestler with a season bonus rate > 50%. PSU had eight.

    Just realized this’ll be Snyder’s fourth Olympic cycle. Gotta be close to a record. How many teams did big Bruce make?

    If Jax finishes with three straight Hodges, which is possible, I think an argument can be made.

    When you consider the gift from the refs, it’s not quite as impressive.

    He’s literally the best 157 in the country. Nothing is wrong with him.

    They were good calls. Inferior wrestlers are being coached to stall as much as possible in hopes of keeping it close and pulling out a last second win against otherwise better wrestlers. Seems more prevalent than in the past.

    With a little luck from the refs they might get within 50 of PSU.

    Pretty sure MM just broke the record for bonus %. He’d win the Hodge among Hodge winners. Historically great season.

    Still can’t believe how bad Duke was robbed. Can’t think of a worse call in NCAA history.

    Yup. This is what makes it so frustrating. He actually can score. We’ve seen it on rare occasions. But he’s developed this stalling strategy and he refuses to deviate from it.

    Ferrari is insufferable. Every wrestler should refuse to shoot on him and take it to OT.

    Did Duke get hurt? Kinda looked like it at the end of the match.

    They probably argued more weight should be given to champs, not that champs are the only thing that mattered.

    It’s because the team score doesn’t weight champions as much as it should. PSU will end up with at least twice as many champs as last year, but 1-2 less AAs. PSU scored a ton of points on the backside last year. I think they go 8/10 tonight but still put six in the finals.

    But they’ll have a higher win rate in the semis than last year because of how their team depth is skewed. They’ll prob have double the number of wrestlers in the finals this year.

    My takeaways from the top 4 after session 1: PSU — met expectations (which were very high) Okst — slightly exceeded expectations Ohio State — slightly disappointed Iowa — exceeded
