Well I’ve posted on message boards for like 20 years and have never been banned from any, so there’s that.

Lol for what?  If anyone in this thread should be banned it’s @LJB and his constant personal attacks.  Personally I find his level of being triggered amusing though so I hope that doesn’t happen.

While @1032004 is being uh . . . thorough in his barking up a tree, for an event that is in 3 days I think it's fair to push the question of "how or where can we watch?"

The fact that @RAFWiki who to his credit seems to have some RAF connections and inside info did not answer the question but instead essentially called 103 a troll and suggested he be banned does tell me there might not be an answer

The only possible answer I can think of that won’t create a rightful uproar is that it will be free on YouTube.   But I don’t see why they won’t say it.  Maybe concern that YouTube won’t show it either if they announce it in advance and word gets out?  But if that’s the case, won’t there also be concern that they take it down mid-stream?

Earlier in his latest show before calling me an “utter moron” Willie also talked more about that “it’s definitely happening” and about his upcoming flight.  But no mention of how we can watch it.

@RAFWiki’s post is the only mention of that site and RAF that I can find.

Kinopoisk will exclusively broadcast the RAF freestyle wrestling tournament with Chimaev.

On September 5, the Real American Freestyle ( RAF ) wrestling promotion will hold a tournament in Moscow . In the main event of RAF Moscow , UFC fighter Khamzat Chimaev will fight in a catchweight bout against former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

The tournament will be available live and on tape to Plus subscribers in the "Sports" section of the online cinema. The broadcast begins at 7:00 PM Moscow time.

The RAF promotion features freestyle wrestling matches between current athletes, leading MMA fighters, and other martial artists. Participants include Olympic and world champions, former and current UFC champions. The Moscow tournament will be the promotion's fourteenth event and the second held outside the United States.

In addition to the clash of two former UFC champions, the evening's main event will be the return of Abdulrashid Sadulaev . The two-time Olympic champion and six-time world champion will be competing in the RAF for the second time. In July, Sadulaev lost to Kyle Snyder at RAF Georgia in Tbilisi after sustaining a knee injury. In Moscow, the Russian wrestler will face Zach Braunagel, who has experience competing in international tournaments with the US Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling teams . Braunagel is 1-0 in the RAF  , having defeated Pat Downey at the July tournament.

The tournament will feature 13 bouts, including three for the organization's championship belts. Light heavyweight champion Kyle Snyder will defend his title against Olympic champion Akhmed Tazhudinov. Two-time Olympic bronze medalist Kyle Dake holds the catchweight title and will challenge Olympic silver medalist Magomedkhabib Kadimagomedov. This bout is a rematch of Dake's 10-7 victory in January. In the women's title fight, Russian Vusala Parfianovich will face American Kennedy Blaydes.

The promotion will also feature two more Russian debuts: One FC champion Anatoly Malykhin, who holds three weight classes, will face the experienced Pouya Rahmani. Sharabutdin "Shara Bullet" Magomedov will face off against Nieman Gracie, an MMA fighter from the Gracie clan. One of the most decorated freestyle wrestlers from the United States, Jordan Burroughs (1-0 in RAF ), will face another debutant in the league, 2024 world champion Magomed Kurbanaliev.

Tournament card:

  • Khamzat Chimaev  vs. Tyron Woodley (main event, catchweight).
  • Abdulrashid Sadulaev  vs. Zach Braunagel (light heavyweight).
  • Anatoly Malykhin - Pouya Rahmani (heavyweight).

Appreciate the callout on today’s episode Willie!

So, do we know where RAF Moscow will be streaming for US residents?  RAF social medias sure is doing a lot of promoting for this event but I haven’t seen anything about where to stream it in the US.  They are encouraging people to buy tickets in Moscow though lol

why wouldn't they encourage people to attend?

Clearly RAF's Chimaev-Burns fight announcement that was released in English a few hours ago and got picked up by every single Russian news agency was ineffective

They should.  But considering it’s called Real AMERICAN Freestyle, I’d think the expectation would be that most Americans will not be in Moscow to see it in person, so doesn’t seem like an unreasonable request for RAF themselves in their marketing of the event to include how Americans can watch it.

I see @RAFWiki has posted another Russian link with a comment saying that company is the “exclusive” streamer.  Are Americans going to be expected to download a Russian app?  Is it confirmed that the stream via the Russian app will actually be available to Americans?

I can't wait to explain my work device activity to my CISO when I'm called out during my next infosec round table.

"I did it because Fox News told me that the app I pay for isn't valid so I needed to download an untrusted Russian app."

It's going to go over REAL well

Imagine the vitriol if Flo did this..

1. Hold an event in arguably the most controversial country in the world at this time.

2. Not be able to stream it to the people who pay for a subscription to their streaming service.

3. Suggest subscribing to some random Russian streaming service instead if you want to watch.

RAF should just admit that they were ignorant and that they were unaware of the circumstances when they came up with this idea. Just take some ownership and be forthcoming with the current situation instead of being vague and dodgy when it comes to what is going on.

The promotion's named after Real American Beer

None of the foreign ventures include the full name - it's just "RAF Georgia", "RAF Moscow", etc.

If they renamed the promotion Real Authentic Freestyle you'd still complain

I would complain if 3 days out from the event there hasn’t been a statement from the organization on how Americans that already paid for the streaming service every other event was on who don’t want to travel to Moscow can watch it, yes that’s correct.
