Why not equip ICE with cattle prods at a tiny fraction of the price of some ridiculously dumb and overpriced gloves?

Same effect, just far-far-far less expensive. And cattle prods have been proven for many decades. Better choice.

How would you know what is better? You have no clue what the merits of 1 vs the other are. Right off the top of my head, I would say you are far less likely to lose your gloves in a conflict and have them used against you. Gloves don't need to be deployed if you are already wearing them. I'm sure there many other benefits you have no clue about.
