I had this running in the background while working; there was a 55 kg greco match between Ecuador and Mexico that both guys just fully let it fly.  Ended 12-12 and both guys had multiple 4's.

It was 8-8 with within like thirty seconds...💪

I only saw one US wrestler lose.

I'm a biased Beav but it's good to see Joel Adams back on the mat and successful again.

67kg Black/Orta.  Silver for Black.  Orta (Olympic medalist) up 4-0 at the break. USA had a good challenge on a leg foul.  Black with a great turn to make it 4-3.  Step out for Orta, 5-3.  Black wrestled well. Good tourney...💪

Adams up against Honduras in the finals.

Adams dinged for passivity and goes down for par terre.  Honduras pretty heavy handed but no turns.  1 - 0 Honduras for the passivity

That's the score at the break

Honduras gets dinged for passivity; he'll go down for par terre.  1-1 Honduras

Adams gets the lift and A BIG 4! AND THEN HE HOLDS ON FOR ANOTHER 4!

Okay a lot happening right now - Honduras has thrown a brick on the second throw claiming there was a step out prior to the throw but medical is also checking on the Honduran as he did land wonky on his head

Medical check is done; they announced challenge won for Honduras but then they gave Adams a point and a 10 - 1 win . . . I'm not sure what the final ruling is (and neither do the announces) but JOEL ADAMS GOLD MEDAL!

87kg Meleshvili/Gregorich.  Meleshvili  jumps out to a 7-1 lead and then almost gets stuck. 7-2 at the break. 8-6 after a throw and a challenge. Meleshvili GOLD.  Really strange match. Head Referee and wrestlers...

130kg Schultz/Pino.  PT Pino goes down. 1-0 Schultz into the break.  PT, Schultz goes down, 1-1. Pino up high , then goes low gut, two offered, white paddled. No challenge. Officials discuss. No turn. 1-1, Schultz up.  Pino coming hard.  Schultz meeting him. GOLD for Schultz!

Fun day of wrestling. USA🇺🇸

Does anybody have any insight as to how Gregorich was given 4 vs Beka? Unless its a camera angle thing and Beka did expose that's just not feet to back, doesn't even fit criteria for correct throw no?

Do we have the ability to sweep the mens FS?   I think our A team does but I'm wondering about these guys.   It will be interesting to see what tomorrow and Sunday bring.
