anyone have insight on how much eligibility he has? think he's part of the "JUCO doesn't count" crowd, but did he take a redshirt at ISU?

when you're cutting that much weight that regularly you just almost have restrict as much as possible, really delicate balance between holding your weight down and starving/dehydrating yourself at that much weight to drop, tough to do for months on end

Does anybody have any insight as to how Gregorich was given 4 vs Beka? Unless its a camera angle thing and Beka did expose that's just not feet to back, doesn't even fit criteria for correct throw no?

Could do something similar to a few states and base it around the season, ie. cant turn 23/24 until after NCAAs. haven't given it that much thought but cant think of too many downsides of that being the basis instead of start of semester or something.

for somebody that wrestled 157 all year, Joel Adams sure didn't seem very undersized at 77kg

peterson for sure had 2 there, not 4 miranda. looked ginormous for a guy who's gonna make 57 later in the tournament.

60kg is such a stacked weight, Black, Raney, Richards, Roberts, then Dean Peterson makes it interesting (when was the last time he completed in greco?), plus a couple other solid guys with age level success. whens the registration deadline? couldn't find it anywhere.

Jaxon Smith in, his instagram post says he'll be down at 174

But they do still have Block, VV, and Estrada, definitely less backed up than Michigan but still guys at the weight. there are other schools with much more open spots for him

Army has a strong club women's program, and from what i've heard is looking to elevate it to varsity. don't know about the other academies personally.

It was already known he was going to step down right? I feel like I remember seeing someone talk about how it would be his last NCAAs with the team, even with it being their turn to "host" next year. What was his reasoning?

Seidel is in for 65kg at the open, and has talked about the cut being tough, so I'm not so sure he's locked for 33

How exactly do you peak for wrestling?

peaking isn't retroactive, it is choices being made as have been pointed out about your body and how in shape vs recovered vs weight managed. does peaking always work? no because its a balancing act that can be done wrong or be derailed. but every single coach talks about and understands peaking is a real thing -
shot clock is not based on shots, its not even called shot clock in FS anymore. its the activity clock
