No, but Terry's arrival changed the trajectory of the program. Bono walked into a program with two All-Americans and one who would aa that year. To then leave two years later and never have a single all-American since....

I honestly don't know what would save the program...or entire conference for that matter...outside of maybe app state.

I think this is the one of the biggest concerns in our sport.  Transfer portal and NIL is creating a large gap between the haves and have nots.  I don't view it as a good thing that 6 teams qualified all 10 (almost 20%) of the field and 4 teams had 37% of the AAs.  The top teams are consolidating talent.

Will the mid majors continue to support a sport if almost if all of the qualifiers and AAs come from the B1G, B12 and ACC?

How different are those numbers from before NIL when OSU, Iowa, OKST, PSU (before NIL) dominated...

Michigan State placed last at Big Tens the past 2 years. They got 13th the two years prior.

Chandler has had 1 AA since he got the head coach job - Foley in 2019.

Yeah, it goes beyond results, though they speak for themselves. You just don’t see kids showing up there and reaching potential. I’m sure this isn’t the case, but it looks like a team of kids that practice and drill together without any leadership or coaching, then they go out and do the best they can. The development is practically nil. But, as emphasized by the assistant in question, when you have a program in place and there is zero effort to turn the tides, they are just happy to hold serve, this is what you get. If you aren’t innovating and improving, you are talking behind. When that happens across like several coaching tenures…honestly slightly surprised to see them still having a program.

Ohio State wasn't part of that generation. Thank you....

It's OU, OKST, Iowa and PSU (before NIL).

I'm guessing Michigan will be looking to add a new assistant or associate head with Churella stepping away from his role.  Big shoes to fill there.
