I love that they’re long…more content to enjoy. Such a great job they did with this series…giving Flo a run for their money.

i hope they continue and we see more content like this. Keeps me engaged in the offseason!

He doesn't know technique or tactics, has no inside information or gets it and keeps it to himself because he's a fanboy, isn't funny, isn't articulate, calls the athletes by their first names to imply how close his relationships with them are, and uses "I" statements all the time to remind you that he's there.

Taylor is giving the kids an Identity and making the school more attractive to wrestlers by doing more than just coaching in the room. Social media and videos bring more interest and can only help with recruiting.

Hope his program makes the team race closer as they move forward. I don't see the same three wrestlers winning titles next season. One of them, but not all three. This even as a few more weights will be challenging to make the finals.

Tom Ryan had a good thing with his videos on his recruiting class & it got positive publicity. Taylor is taking it to a higher level. Both trying to knock off Penn State but OSU appears to be closer to the goal.

I can't see Forrest jumping a level but can see Vega and Robideau jumping levels next year.

I think Jax and Sergio both repeat, whether they're at 133 and 141 or 141 and 149.

Whoever goes 149 for VT should pose a good challenge to Sergio if he goes up.

he lost me when he started referring to the Olympic wrestlers as "we" during their coverage of the games. He is a sick puppy. Thinks he is one of the wrestlers.

I dont know. It's not uncommon to use "we" to indicate your personal investment in some community even if you dont/cant participate in all aspects. Most coaches do it. Most bosses do it. Most politicians do it.

That said, it irritates me, too, e.g. the backlash against Black Athena when certain (!) average Americans  started claiming "we" were responsible for Aristotle and Gutenberg and Shakespeare and Watt and Dickens and Edison and ...

using "we" as a never-was reporter is weird behavior

Him putting his son on multiple videos in a row is enough to make me not click on a Flo YouTube video for the next 12 months

I didn't mind him when he was the wrangler of the other talking heads. He was good at keeping people on track which is definitely a skill. Now though all the "me looking into the camera" videos just give me the creeps though. It reads like Flo has entered the content arms race - more videos but lower quality, more information but less originality. It's been a long time since I've read or heard anything on Flo that I hadn't read or heard elsewhere already.

I did also. Weren't they a Flo production, though? What i find interesting is that Okie State is internally producing long form content like this. Do they have a documentarian on staff? Does Okie State have a film school they're borrowing a student from (Stillwater isn't exactly Hollywood adjacent)? Curious how much this is replicated (apologies if my understanding here is wrong).

DT has a full time videographer (Dan the Cameraman) on staff. He’s worth his weight in gold and effectively has a camera on at every team activity.

Yea, Young Bucks was a FloFilm. It’s great. I was hoping they’d do a follow on when that group (Mendez, Bouzakis, Feldman, Shumate and Geog) were seniors. Since Mendez never took a RS couldn’t have all been the same season, but wish they did a follow up.

Some of the other FloFilms are great too…just wish they made them more often. Hopefully DT doing his thing will push them a bit.

My guess is Cameraman Dan is technically an employee of the RTC and not the University/athletic department but that's semantics
