  1. Ha, then I’ll defer to your statural expertise:) (at 6’3, he comes to my eyes). You know this could all be made significantly easier if they provided heights like the other combat sports do:)
  2. Vega is ~ 6ft and it’s my understanding he’s around 160 currently. The Raney’s are both thick but short. I’d guess 5’6”
  3. DT has a full time videographer (Dan the Cameraman) on staff. He’s worth his weight in gold and effectively has a camera on at every team activity.
  4. It’s a great question. DT is a win now guy but it’s everyone’s understanding that he wants to get to a point where the portal is a very uncommon occurrence. He learned a hard lesson about not truly knowing what you’re getting into with the Figueroa transfer. That said, how Vega and Jax’s weights are handled will tell a tale. Vega and Ski are very close but unless Vega redshirts, if chooses to move to 149, he’s effectively eliminating Swiderski from the lineup. As the Jax saga went, it became clear that DT may not force a decision but he’s relentlessly persuasive when he wants to see something happen. How he pulls the strings this coming off season will be a lot of fun to watch.
  5. His shoulder will continue dislocating in positions where he aggressively extends it. Given his baseline offensive struggles, I’m envisioning a Rd1 MFF at worst and 1-2 at best.
  6. This gives my family and I great joy! Thanks for doing this
  7. I haven’t filled out my bracket yet but on first blush, I’m bearish on many of the Cowboys draws. You give me simply medaling right now, I’m taking it.
  8. It’s a fun quote but you’re generally going through 2-3 solid to high level guys in Big 10s and 3-4 in NCAAs. Depends on the draw but those sentiments are either anecdotal or slogans to pump up the conference. That said, the Big 10 tournament is no joke.
  9. No one if he wrestles like he did at Big 10s. Robideau is built in the same mold but PJ is stronger. He’s clearly better than Cannon. Taylor only has one way to win and the margins there are very slim. Shapiro possibly but he’ll need to bring more to the table than he did this weekend.
  10. Spratley had a higher more explosive motor last year IMO. Zinkin is a full go every time all the time kind of guy. I think Spratley may get him due to experiential savvy but believe Zinkin has th better career.
  11. That’s epic content I wish more teams did. That level of access with that format in this day in age is what sells to donors, fans and recruits.. but hell, I’m also a guy that watches “Inside Indiana HS Wrestling” vids on YT so I may just have a wrestling content addiction I’m only now addressing:)
  12. By the number 5 freestyle wrestler at his weight in the world…
  13. I see OSU winning 125, 133, 141, 157, 197 I have Iowa winning 149 (assuming no Swiderski), 174, 184 (no Ryder). If this was a neutral site, I think Caliendo takes it but at GIA, Dee will be locked in. If Ferrari is back, I could see Arnold giving Merrill a run at 197.
  14. If there was ever a time to try another guy at 184, this is the time. Call it a rest day due to the injury… save face, don’t demoralize Ryder but also give someone else a chance to let it fly. I think every chance will be given for Landon to get some high ranked redemption after the match w Taylor.
  15. DT has harped on this during almost every post match press conference… a lot of guys just have a hesitancy to let it rip. For OSU, Dee, Ryder, Merrill all have that problem and scoring relentlessly is DT’s religion… so not sure the solution but for some guys, it just isn’t natural. That said, Nebbie and Iowa seem built for 3-1 matches this year.
