losing 3 times at one tournament is special and deserves recognition. he lost once more than all the guys that went 0-2. and you feel good about that?

He also won more than them so idk what your point is. You haven’t put together a coherent sentence during this entire conversation.

141 Daniel Zepeda

149 Koy Buesguens

157 Jackson Arrington

165 Will Denny

174 Lorenzo Alston

184 Matty Singleton

197 Pat Brophy

285 Cason Howle

The lineup will probably look very different, but this is one way it could look.

I think it is more likely we see Denny redshirt and Zapeda at 165 than 141.

Zapeda was 9W-1L at 157lbs, with his lone loss via 11-8 Decision to Joe Sealey.

I created an account just because this is hilarious. 6th and 8th placed guys both have 3 losses. 7th place only has 2. So people who come in 7th are AAs but people who come in 6th aren't?

Also, AA is something that has some arbitrary meaning people can different opinions on. It's literally defined as wrestlers who place in spots 1-8. If you want to say "Oklahoma State will only have 5 guys that finish in the top 4 next year", then that's fine. But it's very different than saying "Oklahoma State will only have 5 AAs."

VT:

125 Eddie Ventresca

133 Aaron Seidel/Dillon Campbell

141 Bo Bassett /Aaron Seidel

149 Caleb Henson/Bo Bassett

157 Collin Gaj/Noah Nininger/Caleb Henson

165 Ryan Burton

174 Sergio Desiante/Ryan Burton/Transfer

184 Jaden Bullock/Transfer

197 Sonny Sasso/Transfer

285 Jimmy Mullen/Transfer

133-157 should be determined by what weight Caleb wants to wrestle.  I don't think you see Bo or Seidel take a redshirt in either configuration.  A month ago, I would have though Gaj could redshirt next year and Nininger slots in at 57, but after the tourney Gaj had, I'm not so sure you can leave him out of the lineup next year.  Burton takes 65 or 74 next season before settling at 74 the following year.  I also think VT could possibly beat the portal bush at 174 and above to see what shakes out.

Pitt Panthers:

125: Tyler Chappell (1-2 at NCAAs)/ Matt Marlow (Backup)

133: Evan Tallmadge (DNQ)/ Karson Brown (FR)

141: Briar Priest (DNQ)/ Anthony Santaniello (Backup)/ Karson Brown (FR)

149: Kade Brown (0-2 at NCAAs)/Finn Solomon (INJ)

157: Dylan Evans (2-2 at NCAAs)/Vince Bouzakis (RS)/Finn Solomon (INJ)

165: Jared Keslar (1-2 at NCAAs)/Dylan Evans (2-2 at NCAAs)/Vince Bouzakis (RS)

174: Bode Marlow (RS)/Jared Keslar (1-2 at NCAAs)

184: Chase Kranitz (1-2 at NCAAs)

197: Mac Stout (2025 AA (7th), 2026 2-2 at NCAAs)

285: Dayton Pitzer (2025 and 2026 BR at NCAAs)

Lineup has a real strong backend, but Stout really fell apart to the end of this season. He beat McDanel (5th) by TF earlier this year and beat John (who knocked him out) 11-6 earlier this year. He had a very open path to being a high AA or even a finalist with Elams injury and how the bracket was drawn but he was not able to take advantage of that.

Pitzer has had brutal HWT brackets the last two years. Next year we see 5 of the AAs and the entire top 4 graduate. Only AJF (who might be on a different team or move down to 197 or get arrested again), Keuter, and Carroll return. It will still be stacked with guys like Taylor, Feldman, Mirasola, and Amos back next year but I think Pitzer has a real shot to finally get on that podium.

133-174 is a question mark on who wants to be what weights and who beats who in the room and what exactly the plan is with Karson Brown. Some guys like Fanella and Petrovich come off RS and could always sneak into the lineup.

I would be shocked if any major transfers come in, but I could see some guys leaving that won't be able to break into the lineup.

I think bumping Cardeans/garvin/norman to get Parco in is the best fit all around in my opinion Norman is too big for 174 as well.

I like this lineup with EJ at 157, Cardenas - Garvin _ Norman - Posada

If they can at least get portal HWT they will be trophy contenders.

If only it were youth wrestling where there are 127 tournaments that label you as AA... or at least that's what the flyer says. I was a 13x AA by the way.

165-LJ Araujo

174-Tophy Minto

184-Ty Eise (Freshman)

197-Cam McDanel

HWT-AJ Ferrari/Cade Ziola (Freshman)

This freshman class is a good one. From what I saw of them, Zinkin and Eise need to get stronger, which they will in that program.  Brock Hardy has great things to say about Hockaday.  5 returning AA's, 2 of whom have won National Championships in the past.  LJ should be an AA next year, monster on top. Top 5 team.

Transfer at 125/149 could be in play, AJ to 97 McDanel rs Ziola hwt

AJ is going to cut 25-30 lbs to go down and Face Josh Barr when 5 of the top 7 HWT graduate? Hmmmm.

I have no dog in the race, just never liked okie state.

Also, I made my position clear. Someone who loses 3 times at NCAAs is not an all american in my book. 8th place doesn't count.

Wait why do you not consider them all americans? Do you consider 8th place not deserving of placing? Do you want it like states where only the top 6 make the podium?

6th takes three losses as well, though.

I'd like top 6 only. I think we have way too many AAs. 25% of every brackets makes AA. There are 80 programs so 10% of all D1 starters make AA. I'd be fine with top 5%, but as it is now, it is watered down.

Ohio State:

133: Davino

141:  Don't know/McCrone

149: Maddox Shaw

157: Stiles

165: Cannon

174: Birden

184: Fishbach

197: Shumate/Geog

Hvy: Feldman

Things to watch....Transfer at 149.....need another Hvy.  Feldman was overused this season.  Same for Fishbach.  Shaw may be too big for 149.  If Stanich hits the portal, he'd be an ideal pick up.  Same for Crookham.  Based on current roster, Brendan McCrone could emerge as the 141.  Does Ryder Rogotzke hit the portal?  Or Shumate?  Or McCrone?  Or KIlkeary?

Karson Brown just flipped to Ohio State. Projected 141/149. Had a hell of a match with Jax this year at Powerade.

I don't see Bouzakis at 125 next year..Fishback could be at 197, could Joey Blaze portal? Maybe Jaxon Joy? Stanich would be a great pick up if he hit the Portal..
